Description Finally, it's heeeeere!

I'm so glad Brahms didn't squish that snake. Aren't you?

I'm back in the swing of things, updates should be more regular now. Thanks for your patience.

Joe didn't really wanna bash that snake anyway!
I may not fear snakes like Indiana Jones, but I still can't bring myself to pick 'em up.
They feel really weird when they move, their muscles are so strange and amazing. (I'm afraid of hurting them by accident.)

Um, Amy, just to let you know, red and black venom lack, but when there's yellow it's gonna kill a fellow. Just throwing that out there.

hankinstein In reply to FlashyFashionFraud [2011-07-20 23:29:57 +0000 UTC]

I knew that. I learned red touch black venom lack red touch yellow kill a fellow.

FlashyFashionFraud In reply to hankinstein [2011-07-21 00:27:43 +0000 UTC]

Okay just making sure But it's usually white that's not poisonous.

hankinstein In reply to FlashyFashionFraud [2011-07-21 14:14:55 +0000 UTC]

Did you know that that rule only applies in North America? Once you get south of the border, there are "false coral snakes" that DO have red touching yellow.

And yeah, that's one of the first things you learn, I think, as a snake enthusiast. I been catching, keeping and studying them since I was 8

Actually, I did I learned cause my mom is terrified and wants to make sure we never run into any poisonous ones. XD

And also--you mean white rings? Some do have white but many have yellow. My Mexican Milk Snake, has almost orange-yellow rings.

For a moment I was a bit worried. She'll better bring him somewhere where they don't find him.

Don't think I'm all that afraid of snakes as long as they're not poisonous. Big, hairy moths freak me out though. Not that it makes much sense-

This is ADORABLE. I love all the expressions and reactions. The snake is cute too. Milk Snake? Never heard of those.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

hankinstein In reply to ShaneJensenToons [2011-07-17 20:02:13 +0000 UTC]

Milk snakes are related to King Snakes. They're called "milk snakes" because of a myth farmers used to believe that they milked cows. They thought that because milk snakes frequently hang out in barns, and when their cows didn't produce milk they blamed it on the snakes. Poor snakes never get a break. And they like barns because there are lots of mice (what they really eat).

And thanks!
