Description
1. Alphonse Mucha: A recent but major influence on my work.2. Manga/Anime: influenced me from about the age of 10. Manga like Fairy Tail (pictured above), Bleach, Soul Eater, FMA, Haibane Renmai, Serial Experiments Laine have all inspired me heavily.
3. Disney: for the fluidity of the characters' movements and the way they capture expression.
4. Nature: espeically the sea.
5. The Flower Fairy Collection, by Cicely Mary Barker: always a major inspiration for me.
6. Final Fantasy concept art: and the games in general. In fact, most game concept art. But when I got the FF8 walkthrough aged 9 and saw those pictures my jaw hit the floor. I didn't even realise people could DRAW like that!
7. Peter Weevers: more specifically, his watercolour illustrations of my edition of Alice's Adventures In Wonderland. Beautiful stuff and rarely achknowledged.
8. Formly . Now . She doesn't frequent on here so much anymore but her stuff was a massive influence on me a few years back, even though she's taken it all down now.
9. Lara Croft: was the reason I started drawing, back when I was 7. I totally loved her.
10. Tattoo Art: is a huge influence on me nowadays. The good stuff, I mean, not tramp stamps etc.
I left out a big one: Fashion Photography. Massive inspiration for me.
Of course, it's impossible to list EVERYTHING that's influenced me over the years, but I guess these are the important ones.

I LOVE Alphonse Mucha!!
His work is so beautiful, I even have a tattoo inspired by him
(I also love you for spelling his name correctly. If I see one more person declaring their love for "Mucho" I'm gonna go crazy).

Mine is based on the design he did for JOB cigarette papers. But I HATE smoking so I had the cigarette taken out and had her hand in a Rock n Roll devil horns shape instead! Then I made the hair pink rather than blonde. It's basically Mucha rock chick style!

Aaah, that's sounds awesome! I love the original JOB are as well. I don't have a problem with smoking depicted in art, but I don't think i'd want it tattooed on my body either (as i don't smoke).

Smoking is such a filthy habit, there was no way I was going to have it depicted on my body. My tattoo is here: [link]

That's cool, man! That artist did a pretty good job of not letting the lines overlap, must've been a bitch having to wipe the ink away every two seconds to make sure they weren't overlapping! She's a very elegant punk chick, very pretty!

It took two and a half hours but it was a blast. It was a 21st birthday gift. I kept all of my artist's original sketches and stencils for it too, I hope to have them on my walls someday. One of them is here: [link] You may have noticed I also had the hair clip removed. I wanted to keep it simple. In a drawing its ok but I think it would have been a bit too small to tattoo properly (my actual tattoo is only 6 inches high).
