Description
Some 'GeeWun' head studies of the Combaticons for a little non-Bayformer movification project. In this image are in order of appearance: Swindle and Bruticus. Note that Bruticus wasn't completely finished, but I ran out of paper and figured I'd be better off redoing it later.Going from the original heads, trying to come up with traditional designs that would more or less work on screen.
Feedback on what could be done better very much appreciated.

I really like Bruticus. It looks powerful and somewhat Gundam-like, but not SO Gundam-like it... looks like a Gundam.
I like Swindle too, although I'm not familiar with him except in TF: Animated. His smile looks clown-like and kinda scary, though.

Great stuff, love Swindle and his smug grin he has. Also like Bruticus, just think the fin is a bit much in height, but it'll probably get re-tooled as with everything else about him since you stated "not finished."

It looks like you've gone for a sort of hybrid between the animation style face and the more realistic movie design. It does make the face look a bit flat, which might work against what you are trying to do.
It's still a good image, but perhaps bringing the cheeks out a little or heading in a direction similar to how the ABC Warriors are done might make Swindle's face a little less flat looking.

Actually these are pretty much straight 'orts' from the G1 toys, biggest adjustments are the vents and panel lines really.
Apparently Swindle's got the most Greek nose you'll find anywhere: really, really vertical and straight. O_____o'
To that element is a bit on purpose. The main change I made to Swindle's face was that he used to have visors hang over his face, where I made them fit more inside of his face. Reason for this is that you could now adjust the size and shape of the vizor by sliding bits in front of it. Coloured him already btw: [link]

Looks good, I'd clean forgotten what Swindle's toy face looked like. Mind you his head has been stuck inside Onslaught's leg for years now!
Colouring job is very nifty.

Hehe, same here (well mine's a Ruination really), though the Swindle I do have is normally in vehiclemode extorting Throttlebots for energon.

Ruination for me as well and some small knock off version of Bruticus but he's so fragile I daren't look at him much less free Swindle!

They look good and are very detailed. Sometimes they look a bit too fat, specially Swindle - he looks like a fat guy with glasses! Still very nice specially since they're not Bayformers.

Niice designs man.
Bruticus has a pretty nice Gundam touch about him, I like that. I love how his head is much more phat than normal small TF's heads.
