Design, painting, etc: me.To view the High Res image, I believe deviantART let's you download the fullsize image.
Done with a mouse over the course of a month or so. Most of it was done on one layer, to make it a bit more challenging.
First time in years since I digipainted something, I used to do oekaki's now and then so it's not quite the first time, however, I've never put so much effort in one image.It's not quite perfect, mostly exploring the configuration and style, so rather than a finished detail design, this is more like an advanced, worked out concept design of the first draft I sketched a while ago. Obviously it still needs work if you want it to be fully transformable.
I've got a few ideas on how to change some features of the design configuration, but I really don't have more time to spend on this so I didn't bother with that. (I've got commissions and possibly some official colouring work coming up, so... ).Hooooowever, I heard Draven might be making a 3D model out of it if he finds the time, so any feedback regarding transformation would be appreciated for him to dig through for ideas.
So please feel free to leave crits and suggestions, however please take note that this is not supposed to fit in with current movie designs and that the style is supposed to mimic typical Transformers 'blockyness' without actually being blocky (plating instead of massive blocks.

its a nice redesign of prime, im thankful i got to see the wip all the end to completion. It really is a nice piece of work and im loving the texture.
The two panels on the knee, if they are as dusty/grimmed as the rest of prime, they shouldnt have such a clear reflection of the horizon, it should be visible but further blurred. The background needs some reworking too, come on, given the time you spent on this prime, how could you throw in such a background? work on it a little, my friend! It doesnt do prime justice!
and i notice the seats are on his arms, i hope they dont pop up when prime flexes his arms! heh.

Nah, didn't see it as I'm not interested in the new movie, it's subpar on everything but special effects as far as I'm concerned and that's not enough to get me interested. Not because it's not G1 enough or something (that'd be a bonus), just because the story and plot sucks and the mecha designs got too little in common with Transformers as a whole, but that's just my opinion.

I thought it was going to be really dumb when I went into it but I was surpirsed. you should at least rent it when its out if only to make fun of it lol...that's what I do with bad movies (talk through them that is)
its cool though that you have strong opinions about it >.< I rarely do meet someone who has good taste in movies...speaking of movies what's your favorite? I really like the movies Yojimbo and V for Vendetta (for a comic book movie it was friggin amazing)

Hmmm favourite movie, that's hard to say. I typically like war movies, as I'm a fervent strategist and commander type where it comes to gaming. There's a couple of good movies in that respect. Especially where it comes to classic era movies. I thought Alexander for example was pretty good. Other than that I like mini series like Hornblower, Rome, North and South, etc.
Most other movies I can enjoy watching, but usually laugh a bit at the plot and typically American characters and the overly patriotic tones of those movies. British movies like the Bond movies have a bit more style than the rather generic stuff that builds more on near random violence and special effects that's usually coming from Hollywood.
