Okay, sooooooo... Finally got around to finishing the reference sheet for Senator SedesΓ© Orym.Obviously, he's from the same story as the last two characters I posted, but from sort of a different... arc I guess? Is that what you call it? Bah whatever, my brain is fried right now. And also I'm rambling in my description box again.
ANYWAYS he's a nice guy trying to make sense of an increasingly corrupt political system which was proposed by one of his fellow senators who ends up being a secondary antagonist in the story. I'll elaborate later, when my train of thought starts running in a straight line again.
Still not happy with his outfit. Might change later.

How much do you charge for commissions like these actually?

Hmmm. For a full-body, fully-colored (plus basic shading) character plus face detail? Probably somewhere around $45. Though hopefully anything I do now will turn out better than this piece.

Yeah, you see; your art style remind me of two other artists very familiar to your handwriting. Still you do at the same time seem more fresh which is why i'm curious if your price would either be their equal or slightly beneath due to detail differences, no offense intended of course, consider me just curious and if i may see a full piece as you described one day then perhaps even interested to hire you for one?

His outfit looks somewhat Japanese-like to me for some reason. Was it inspired by a particular real-world culture?

Sort of. I just wanted to use folded robes to look more official and regal, but the thingy around his waist came from a picture I saw a while back ago of a herder in Kenya (I think), who wore this really wide cloth belt that was held to his body by a smaller, weaved belt. And the shape of his collar was inspired by a dashiki-looking shirt I saw at a shop downtown. Other than that, he's a political figure in a multicultural society so his clothing is sort of meant to be culturally ambiguous, if that makes any sense.
