Revisiting some old artwork (in lieu of doing some new class assignments....)Lucius and Snape, old friends, fellow Death Eaters, both devoted to no one's cause but their own.
I like them very much. When I drew this, I was thinking about their hijinks together in Voldemort's ranks, before Snape switched sides.I used Jason Isaacs' face, but it sadly doesn't belong to me... nor do the characters - thanks to JK Rowling. I drew Snape's face ages ago, before I had a clear mental picture of him. So he looks sort of like (dare I say?) Tom Cruise (NOOOOOO!) Oops.

Came across this on Tumblr today. This is absolutely gorgeous! I'm always happy to see alternate faces on Snape. (Not that I don't love Alan Rickman, but sometimes I just get a little tired of it.) Anyway, this is great, and it's going in my favs now.

I love this artwork! Saw it a while ago, but somehow did not fave and was upset to have lost the link... and now came across it again, and this time it's instant fave! It's so dynamic and intense, the poses, the look in their eyes. I love the way their hair is done! It's like if I blink and open my eyes again, it will change its position with the wind. Awesome. And it's great to see Lucius not looking too girly-pretty and too Jason Isaacs, even though you used him as a ref. He's just... Lucius.

As to Lucius, he's one of my favorite characters! And I strongly believe that men possess the ability to be powerful, beautiful, and poised without being pretty. If Lucius were a pretty boy, he wouldn't hold others' respect as easily, despite his money and position. It truly annoys me that so many masculine characters are portrayed in fan art as delicate, effeminate waifs, when it is clearly not in their characters.
I'm glad that you found the link, again; it's so frustrating to lose track of something you like. Actually, that's the reason I joined DA in the first place, to collect fan art were I wouldn't lose it!

You are most welcome! I also love Lucius as a character, even though he isn't as complex as Snape, his canon portrayal is ambiguous enough for good fic writers and fanartists to interprete him in most stunning ways.

The difference between them is amazing. Picture are expressed nature of their. I see that Snape is a powerful (I love his delightful dark gaze) but Lucius is a dodger. XD

ILOVESNAPE. He's always so great in your pictures. Even in this one, which is older so you don't have quite the grasp on his character as in your later drawings, his face is still Snape-ish (with the intensity and the huge nose) The white scarf on his neck is a little out of character to me but, honestly, the rest of his clothing? Uhm, hot.
I love Lucius too. His hair. Like. Dangson. I just don't love him as much as Snape, unfortunately.

Oh my, what a powerful image. I love how dynamic it looks; the difference of their facial expressions is striking. Lucius so obviously enjoys whatever they're up to, but Sev is totally unreadable, other than being as scrutinizing as we all love him to be. How they back each other up, literally, seems like an indication of the unspoken trust between them that existed back then.
