No, actually his eyes are that color. I added extra lighting is all to enhance his eyes, a little 100 watt uv light.

The cat's eye is gorgeous and the colours are really nice and deep. I love th detail captured in the fur. Also the angle and framing iare really interesting and dynamic.

actually, I had a crappy 2mp Olympus that was practically dying on me... I set up a magnifying glass infront of it's lens... to focus and my boyfriend's cat kinda just laid their and enjoyed the attention.

Ahhh, very innovative, and with very impressive results, especially considering it came off a 2MP.
I've thought of doing something similar in the past, but could never find a magnifying glass large enough.

The one I used is pretty old, but it's a 10x 20x magnification... it's 10x for the majority of the lens but has a small circular space where it's 20x.... which I used for this shot.
