Description Carte de l'univers du DA "les héros de la Galxie" (Ginga Eiyû Densetsu) réalisée d'après celle qui était inclue dans un jeu vidéo des années 90.

Legend of the Galactic Heroes (or "Ginga Eiyû Densetsu" or "Heldensagen von Kosmosinsel" or "Les héros de la galaxie") is a Japanese sci-fi TV show, with 162 episodes!
This map just shows few details of LoGH universe. I hope doing a more detailed one with my poor documentation.

PS: I would like to point that this map was done from a map those were included in a Japanese video game. So, i didn't invent anything on it.

I would expect a "Galactic" Empire to actually control most of a galaxy.

Wait... Isn't LOGH placed a bit... Outside of galaxy? You know, it's onto Orion Arm... A bit up to the actual galaxy... Or I just watched first 10 episodes.

Excuse me, but I got a feeling that Earth' solar system isn't so inside the galaxy...

Nice artwork and plot, anyway. Congratulations.

Don't worry, your idea and artwork is really cool.

Where this map (I mean the map of Iserlohn neighbourhood) is taken from? The sequense of lables makes me doubt strongly

First, the Empire territory traditionally drawn on the right side of map, and Alliance is on the left. It is difficult to orientate on the mirror image of the map.

Second, planet Legmiza belongs to Tiamath star system. It is known from 1-st LoGH gaiden "My Conquest of the Sea of Stars"

Third, Amlitzer starzone is the junction of corridors -- is is clear from the epizodes dedicated to Amlitzer battle.

Fourth, where is the Astarte star system?

Yeah, you're right, i used a map taken from an old japanese computer game. But a friend sent me a map from an artbook, and the things are not really the same.
I will redo the map, with, that's better, with the Empire on the right.
I didn't see many episodes, because there are subtitled in English, and that's hard to follow sometime (imagine to watch a Japanese movie with French subtitles )
Which are the main campaigns? I saw there was many campaigns in Amlitzer, Kifeuser, Rantemario, Iserlohn...
If someone could do a fan page!!

My one kibbitz on the map at the moment is with the Legmizia Gas Giant. It's actually a component in the same star system as Iserhlon Fortress, rather than being a seperate system as the map seems to indicate....

Yes, that looks weird to have a gas giant, alone in the space...But i used an official stuff, taken from a computer game...Not accurate at all!

No, Iserlohn fortress does not belong to any star system. It situated in the corridor directly

The two maps I've seen of the universe are these: [link] (linked from [link] ) and [link]

I'm not oversure about the first's exactness, but it does give us a star-system for Iserlohn. There's a third map that offers some more detail of the corridor, and shows other systems like El Facile, but I can't seem to find it right now.

The other thing that bugs me is how spread out the empires are in the galactic arm.... all maps of the universe suggest that both polities are nowhere near large enough to suck up THAT much space... but that's something that's even seen in official art IIRC, so such is ;

Oh, yes, I've also seen them.
I tried to rewatch series to get screencaps with maps, but there are only a few, much fewer than number of systems or battles, that mentioned in series.

I'm not oversure about the first's exactness, but it does give us a star-system for Iserlohn

I did my conclusion from the battle in the corridor. Yang's strategy was built on the fact that corridor has finite width. And it is nearly equal to the width of one space fleet. We have no precise value, but it is definetly smaller, than 1 a.u. Also on the battle scemes we can se an Iserlohn fortress, a Thor Hammer fire range, corridor borders but no signs of star -- though it is an object which can not be ignored in navigation and strategic calculations

Central Anime has has been lovingly subbing this series for years. Do a search for them, and you'll find it. LoGH is far and away my favorite series of all time!

The map looks fantastic!

I've heard about tons of sub-titled episodes available on torrent. You can see some on YouTube but the video quality is quite poor.
