Description
This problem seems mostly limited to the forums on dA, but it can extend beyond that. Too often, people will only give comments/faves/llamas/watches/etc. if they know they're going to get something back in return. As far as commenting on artwork goes, this seems to defeat the entire purpose of commenting. If you want to say something about someone's artwork, just say it. Don't say it because you want them to say something back.If I leave you a comment, you do not owe me a reply, visit, watch, whatever. I would love it if you do those things, but it's not why I comment.
If you don't want me to say thank you, then don't fave it. If you accuse me of not looking at your profile, I will turn right around and accuse you of not reading the artist comments.

I comment/fav/watch on here just because I really love seeing the works I come across, it doesn't matter to me if I get anything in return, I just want to see some awesome stuff that's on here.

Comments are a nice thing to get, and some people feel sad when they don't get them because they feel unpopular, but still, selling comments is dumb, an buying them is even dumber! Comments should be for (actual)feedback!
"This is nice"
"You could have put less shading on this"
"I have noticed you improved on anatomy and proportions, but the hands still look off sometimes. Carry on!"
"What size was the canvas you used"
Anything would be nice as long as it is honest.

I made this stamp a long time ago, and I don't see this happening as much now as I used to. It still does happen from time to time, usually in forums or places like that.

I guess. There was some things I saw a time ago.
One had in the description "COMMENT OR I KILL YOU"
Other had "PLEASE COMMENT" in the tittle and the description said "I will tittle all my future deviations like this until people starts commenting"
It's a bit sad.

Lol, I comment on any and everything
I never expect anything back when it comes to faves, comments, llamas and stuff. Though if I had a conversation with someone, I sometimes hope they watch back so we could be friends

So true. I once had a guy asking about that "a watch for a watch" thing. I didn't want to watch him, but said that he was more than welcome to watch me if he wanted to. He got all upset and said it was MY fault that he couldn't watch me since I wouldn't watch him back... :/
And then I've seen people trying to "sell" comments and stuff with points. Like "for this many points you get a llama, 5 comments and 3 faves. For that many points you get a llama, 8 comments, 10 faves and a watch" ect. It just cuts my heart, honestly DX

Agreed, and that kind of user on DA seems to be ever on the rise now.

Ohh that makes me mad! If you like something, just comment. If you don't, don't. Selling comments!?!?! Wtf!!!!

I always respond and look at someones work if they commented mine and I'm tired when I read something like "why didn't you comment/fave my work?!" - duh, if I had something to say, I would do that.

It's not all over dA, but it is seemingly becoming more of a problem.

I understand where you are coming from and agree. However, I have a very big problem with people who expect comments, even demand comments, and yet when they receive them get insulted if someone wants the courtesy of a response.
I think a response to a comment is polite. I understand people who don't have time and that's fine. But when I see people whining they never get comments, but never take the time to comment/reply back, it upsets me.

Right, exactly. Really, the main place this stamp seems to apply is in the forums. And it isn't just comments. It can apply to faves, too. I don't want people to fave my work just because they want or expect me to fave something of theirs - because I'm not going to fave work I don't like. I want people to fave/comment on my work or watch me because they like what I do.
