Shot this at Ryukyu Village on Okinawa. This snake is deadly and is all over the island. I didn't see any outside of a cage while there.Related content

Great shot, very cleanly focused.
However, now I'm going to have an issue sleeping at night. I used to live in Okinawa, and we saw these little jerks everywhere.

habu's are so pretty but scary... there was one place i went actually had signs along the cliff that said wtch out for habu's

Excellent focus. Because of the heavy rain season, habus are getting a lot of attention this year - apparently a LOT of folks on Foster and Kadena have spotted these snakes in their yards, particularly around their trash cans.
Now I tentatively tiptoe through the grass, wearing shoes and pants...

This guy looks mean....love its' eye and the shape of its head..looks like he could pop right out of the screen at you.

Thanks! This was a luck shot. The glass all around the habu had tons of scratches...I just took the shot and was surprised to see it turned out to be a nice shot. Thank you again for the nice comments. Hatch
