Description
My handmade version of the Half-Blood Prince's copy of Advanced Potion Making... its not quite as dog-eared as the one described by Rowling, but I didn't want to risk ruining it by "antiquing" it too much. Complete with inscription inside the back cover that reads "This Book is Property of the Half-Blood Prince"This is simply a blank note book (about 4x6) that I covered and decorated. I plan to carry it as a "note to self" book... I forget alot of things if I don't write them down... so I am sure it will get the wear and tear the HBP's copy of the book is supposed to have.
---------
Edit: the cover has since fallen off of the note book and a few pages have been torn out... its looking more and more worn as it should be

Niiiiiiice! I actually wish they'd released a copy of this like they had with "Quidditch through the ages" and that other one I can't remember

Ahh people keep making these, and I'm terribly inspired to create a Hogwarts library of my own...I just don't know how! xD

I did this one really simply... I bought a small notebook with a cardboard cover and glued brown craft paper (the kind you wrap a package in for shipping) to the whole cover. I then painted it with crafters acrylic paint mixed with staining medium (to give it some translucence and the streaking). After that dried, I used more acrylic paint to put the design on. To finish it off, I glued green cardstock to the inside of the cover to cover the edges of the craft paper. It is really basic and I didn't make the book itself but I like the results

Great idea. Plus didn't Harry rip the cover off of the book anyways so it looked like he put it back in the potions room?

Haha... very true. Unfortunately my cover fell off due to wear in my purse not because of a magic spell

Very nicely executed - there aren't enough book binders and decorators on here
The font is very stylish, too!

I love it! Awesome concept -- and how functional -- a "note to self" book! Really cool.
