Only one more day. Yay, now I won't have to got to the library anymore. Walking there with all my art stuff really sucks.

Not many people hire detectives, so Joe and Dan are usually short on cash. This caused them to get really behind on their rent, which drives their landlady up the wall. They try to avoid her, but sometimes she manages to catch them.

Dan: Oh howdy there, Marisa! What brings you here?
Marisa: What do you mean, 'what brings me here?!' I own this building, you idiot! I'm the one who should be asking questions. Where's my money?
Dan: Wellllll...
Marisa: Given that you both tried to run away from me, I'm guessing that you still don't have it.
Dan: Eheheh... Joe, you slacker! If only you were as in shape as I am, this wouldn't have happened!
Joe: Well if you managed our finances better, we wouldn't have to run away. Did we really need to buy that game console?
Dan: Reckon course! That computer we've got is too ancient to play anything, and it's cheaper than going to the arcade.
Marisa: Instead of playing games, you should be paying your rent! You're three months behind!
Dan: Golly, has it been that long already?
Marisa: Since we used to play ball together, I'll give you until next week. If you don't pay by then, I'm evicting you.
Dan: Wha-! Can't we pay you back some other way? Like, y'know-
