Description
I was bored in class, so I sketched this with a mouse. When I got back to my dorm I decided to fully paint it, because why not? It's been way too long since I've drawn something violent. I've been posting way too much wholesome and lovey stuff, talk about disgusting. Definitely not my thing. This felt really refreshing to draw. Ahh... cathartic. Oh yeah, that jacket that Scott is wearing is actually a raincoat. Natalie gave it to him because he was always getting blood on his clothes. Well... it worked for the most part. With spring break next week, and the coronavirus 12 miles away from me, I'm thinking that school will be closed and I'll have a bunch of time to work on my animation. A couple of colleges are already closed, so yeah. Amazingly, some people are still going on about it being just a flu, even though the ENTIRE country of Italy is in quarantine. Yeah, all right. Just buy the dip, at least you'll have a good amount of stocks when you're put under.
My hand is also feeling great! The rubber band therapy is doing wonders for it, along with stretching. Bought a vertical mouse too. I think this will be the last thing I post for a while, I need to focus on working on it. But ugh, lining and coloring has to be the most mindnumbing thing in existence. Redraw, color, repeat for a hundred times, and then open the next document and do it all again. Ugh... but the result looks great, so I keep going.Β
It's sure been a while since I've tried to render a night time scene. I still have to get used to the lighting I think. Everything looks kinda bright... or maybe not.Β Well, I'll get better at it eventually. Maybe I need to use more blues... I do like the grass though. I think I've been getting better at it. Faces are getting easier, too. The road to realism is long, but I'm making progress. Cool.

Thanks a lot! Really glad you like it. It was a more experimental piece for me, nice to see that it turned out well.

Damn, what the hell happened here? This looks really nice and loves the detail in everything. Scott looks a little malnourished he needs some food if he wants to continue to fight evil spirits(It's a joke ).

Thanks man! Well, Scott's a paranormal investigator, and he got hired to investigate a disturbance behind a cemetery. There he got attacked by a vampire, and he managed to kill it. He decapitated it to see if it was to Jack's liking, but nope, it wasn't the head he was looking for. Ah well. I'm glad you like all the little details! It's fun to add them in to see if anyone'll notice them.
Yeah haha, Scott's really skinny. It's fun to draw other types of dudes sometimes. Me personally, I get tired of drawing the same thing over and over. Some people like that, but me, nah. I also thought it would be fitting for someone who deals in the paranormal to look like he's on death's door, kinda cool!Β Β

Woah dude! Put a mature filter on! Extreme American violence!!! Ponies might see it.Β
Well, is he headhunting for his headless friend now? Does that head match his criteria? Hahaha!
The wind seems to be confused here, the smoke and the clothes go the opposite direction as the grass. But then the wind might be blowing in all directions. That can happen too.Β
Anyway, nice composition here. A little bit bright but still you can say its nighttime. Nice color contrast too, blue hues vs the yellow coat!Β
Blech, I'm not a good art critique so don't listen to me.
Question though, Why is his shoes so bloodied? Did he played with the decapitated head like a soccer ball?Β

Imagine that! The day has come when you're the one telling me to use a mature content filter! Now that's something else. But to answer... no! Haha! We Americans eat this for breakfast. You think this is extreme? This is nothing! I've seen worse before. I hope all the ponies see this, maybe then they'll all go away. But if it's kids you're referring to, wouldn't it be a filly? I hate that I know that... when stuff like that is everywhere, you pick up on the terms. I'm glad that period of the internet is over. But yeah, there's nothing mature here! Why, Call of Duty is worse. And, there's no nudity. I know for easterners violence is censored, but over here in the west, it's just sexual stuff. No mature content filters, never!
Yep, he's headhunting for Jack. This guy he killed was actually a vampire though, but he took his head just to check. But nope, this one wasn't it.
Ah, as expected of an experienced artist. Eagle eyes! You know, I noticed that myself when I was drawing it (the wind thing) but I thought that nobody'd notice. I really didn't want to redraw anything, but I guess I should've. I guess your type B is rubbing off on me or something. Ugh... I'm glad you like the composition though! I think it's pretty cool myself, a lot more square than usual. And yeah, I did have the color contrast in mind, too! What do you mean you're not a good art critic? You're great! Just do it more often, and the words will come easier.
His shoes are bloody because of artistic preference. That's really it, lol. It'd been so long since I've drawn something like this, so I really went in on the amount of blood. But image wise... hmm. Maybe he stepped in a mud puddle, I don't know. Haha.
