In the spring, the field by my house was in close threat of a wild fire. As the flames in the woods became larger and the smoke became darker, I remembered the praying mantis sacks that I had seen earlier that week. I rushed over and looked for as many as possible, I found 6. I brought them home and kept them safe untill they hatched. heres what they looked like as they came out to see the world....[link] Luckly the fire dept. was able to get the fire out before it hit the field, But the heat and smoke killed half of the tall grass. I feel sad for the sacks that didnt make it, but am joyful when I see a praying mantis, I know that they stand a chance.
