Description
After much discussion, Fox and Krystal agreed that it would be best that the large ruby they found in a cavern would best be kept in the vault area. With help from Tiny, they brought the large ruby to the vault where the Storm Sapphire is kept. As Krystal looks at the ruby, she couldn't help feeling a bit concerned that Fox notices.: Something wrong, Krystal? What's the matter?
: I don't know why but somehow the ruby reminds me of that crystal that I was trapped in before you freed me.
: I see what you mean. But at least we know that we're not in that world this time.
: I know but I just hope that I don't have any reminders in any dreams I should have.
: I wouldn't worry. I'll be holding you close tonight and the next few nights.

Well depending on the canon Knuckles is the only one who lives on that island which is why I like the Archie comics. shows he isn't the only one

Yeah, I know that feeling. I'm currently trying to recreate a character who met a tragic end in one of my fave cartoons that left me feeling really broken inside.

Don't you think someone ought to have been there so he or she could save Krystal before Andross trapped her in the crystal this ruby reminds her of, as we see here? I do.

That's a vault. Nobody needs to go in there. Second, Andross is dead. Third, They're not in the Lylat System. It's just a reminder and that's it.

Not at all what I meant. On the Dinosaur Planet, Andross had discovered the Krazoa's ancient power; and he was on the planet and waiting for his moment to resurrect himself using that power. He began that goal of his by trapping Krystal inside a crystal and then draining her energy, killing her a bit at a time as time went on. Here, the ruby reminds her of that scary event; and if it haunts her this much, I believe she too wonders what would have happened on the Dinosaur Planet if someone had saved her before Andross captured her.

But that's all in the past now. It may have been a scary event but now she has Fox for support.

Of that I, put in her place, would be fortunately aware. I'm sure he'll be there for Krystal even if she does have nightmares about that event, and I won't be surprised if we see such a photo coming up later on.
