Biography
Jamie Madrox was one of the rare mutants to manifest their powers from birth. As a result his parents tried to raise him away from the public eye, with his scientist father created a special bodysuit that helped control his powers to create duplicates of himself. When his parents were killed by a tornado while Jamie was a teenager, he went to known mutant expert Professor Charles Xavier for help. Xavier sent him to the research facility on Muir Island where he worked as an assistant to Dr. Moira McTaggart, another leading expert in mutant studies. After the Muir Island facility was destroyed during a battle between the X-Men and the Shadow King, Madrox joined the government-sponsored mutant team called X-Factor. It was here that he first met Strong Guy and Wolfsbane, who would become two of his closest friends. After the team was disbanded by the government Jamie took the X-Factor name for himself, forming X-Factor Investigations with Strong Guy and Wolfsbane.
