Description
It is a little damascus axe. My first axe ever.Its head is 8 cm long and its edge is 5,5 cm long.
The shaft is 20 cm long and its robinia.

Beautiful work, I'm a big fan of hatches as all around(er) tools. A macassar ebony handle would really top this off.

forge welded socket, so it's basically a san mai

Awesome mate I like doing axes that way, much more fun (and easier) for a 1 person operation! The Pattern is gorgeous.

I once tried to make a monosteel hammer with a punched hole, but it was a real pain in the ass, and it didn't turned out well. Guess I started with a too big piece of metal.

Yeah, last time i tried to punch steel, it went to hell, guess i'll have to try it again when i try a hammer again, but for axes i'm sticking to the fold and weld!
