Description An eastern Hanjar.
It has a 25 layered damascus blade, forged of S80 and 5160.
For the handle I used dark walnut with damascus accessories.

Hope you guys and gals like it

Good piece of artwork lad!!! and a small note: hanchar means dagger in turkish.

Your blades are so amazing.

I wish I could afford to commission one.

Thanks a lot!
The smaller blades, around 7-8 cm, but still with 200 layers, are only around 60 euro. So if you lack the budget for a fully finished knife, but like tinkering with wood for ex. that would be quite cheap, I think.

To beautiful to look at. Such an elegant shape! And the pattern here also gives that impression.

Thanks. But this is copied after an original in big lines.

Interesting form. I can imagine that it enables this knife to be used in two very different and usually exclusive kinds of ways.

Yes, this one is quite different.

Thanks, but it really is quite puritan to some original, that can be found on the net

Thanks! The handle design is not my brainchild unfortunately. It is more or less the traditional way to make it.

Look at that curve! Such a beauty. I always love the ingrains on your steel.

Thanks a lot!
The ingrains are like so because it is hammered by hand, thus very unevenly

By hand? As in making your own pattern welded steel by hand?
Stop being so badass! I'll never be able to keep up at this rate!

Yeah, by hand. I'm too poor to get myself an airhammer
Try it yourself! It's true that it's hard work, but it's far from impossible, after all vikings made pattern welded steel for centuries by hand
