Your very welcome!
What is the balance like? I would guess it at one to two finger widths from the guard, up the blade. It would be good for thrust and parry work.

Actually it is exactly at the guard You know the pommel is the last thing I make. It acts as a counter balance, so it is custom made to match the dagger's weight ratio.

Oh, I totally understand! Just from my experience in making and martial arts I would put it a little forward of the guard. But that is personal preference.

Hmm... interesting! So you say, that way it is better?

Just personal preference. Because of the way I roll my wrists in forms (kata) I pivot around the balance point of the weapon. With it forward of the guard it would allow a quick outward thrust or sweeping downward block. My Chinese saber and double edged sword at balanced at about four fingers above the guard. About the same for the wooden practice swords that I make.
Now Wushu competition blades are balanced at the guard, but that is for more showy then practical moves.
It is all in how the weapon is to be used, and where the balance point makes it fell more 'alive.
This dagger looks to be designed primarily for thrusting, but with enough length to be use to block another weapon. Like a companion left handed dagger to a sword in the right hand. That is why I would put the balance above the guard. Pure thrusting weapons you want the mass to be in the pommel: think like a pool que, you want to focus the energy through the tip.

Thanks! I haven't though of it in such detail. Thank you very much for explaining it to me. I have a lot more inside to it now!

Glad to help.
A parting thought, what you have this one balanced at would lend itself to accurat throwing, if needed. Throwing knives are balanced to the center, or mass tword tip.

Very nice work.Β  Looks very streamlined and lethal, like a weapon meant for the use of an assassin.

You’re welcome! Nothing wrong with writing stories...I have never seen anything to make me think you don’t know the difference between stories and reality.

This one seems like it would work in Assassins’ Creed.

Unfortunately I do know the difference. It is quite painful sometimes to snap back to reality after a few hours spent in my private little wonderland
