A very quick, simple pen doodle in my sketchbook, done as a pick-me-up for my partner, . I ended up liking it enough to clean it up a little, add the border and the paper textures and do some creative blush/coloring with foxing marks. God I love old paper.She thinks it might make a nice tattoo. If you think so too, thank you, but please don't put it on yourself, it was done for her and that would just be weird, right?

I was just thinking what a lovely tattoo that would make! Understandably, it's personal to the both of you. But have you ever considered deliberately trying your hand at tattoo design?

Thank you! I love tattoos and I would definitely do design commissions if they came my way! I think a lot of people get their designs drawn by the artist who does the actual tattooing---I wish I had that skill! But I guess others do find artists they like and have something drawn up that they can then bring to a tattoo artist, who will inevitably redraw it but hopefully do an accurate copy. I've done a few designs for a friend but she never actually got any of them, ha.
