I've written a fanfic for Archer called "Template of a Hero", so if you like these comics and you're interested, why not give his story a read? Here's the FF.net link: www.fanfiction.net/s/8362678/1…

I like to think it's that the Argonian's appearances depending on where they are. Those born in Cyrodiil or places like it or stay there for awhile, change to be more flamboyantly colored. Different faces. Those in Morrowind, a mix of Skyrim and Cyrodiilic Argonians. The ones in Skyrim, horned mostly and with more jaw and body muscle to deal with the enviroment.

There are different types of Argonians in Black Marsh, so I guess that one of them would have to be the ones you see in Morrowind, Cyrodiil, and Skyrim. Either that, or they can adapt very quickly to different environments.

If you look in the elder scrolls wiki, there is actually a species of long limbed argonian in black marsh called naga, who have a reputation as thieves and smugglers.

I don't know, their voices in Skyrim sound much smoother and more pleasant than the raspy Argonian voices from Oblivion, but I do admit that Oblivion's Argonian voices were definitely unique in a good way.
And WHY did they take out underwater combat? How can I engage in submarine warfare with those slaughter fish now?

You're definitely right! But I got Oblivion not too long ago, so I haven't yet finished the game... Nowhere near finished, actually. But I still like it.

Argonians are awesome, but I would prefer the old Morrowind style with lizard-like legs in Skyrim. They looked better imo.

I think that may have been the hists doing. Argonians had once been regular lizards, until the hist evolved them into Argonians to infiltrate both the society's of man and mer. Morrowind and Oblivion were only 5 years apart, but I think the hist could have changed their appearance well within that time. I could be wrong, but since Argonians are asexual, it wouldn't surprise me if each branch of Argonian evolved differently depending upon the area and province they were born in.

I just really hope that the Hist decides to have Argonians keep their raptorial appearance, then. I'd be sad if such wasn't the case.

I'd hope so to, I really think it's current design for Argonians in Skyrim, is it's best work by far.

I kinda miss the Morrowind Argonians (I don't know if "miss" would be the correct term, since I got Skyrim before Morrowind D
. They seemed more beast-like with their feet and all. Then again, not being able to wear boots would be quite a setback.
Actually, scratch that, if a male character loots a female character and her armor magically turns into male armor, then why can't a Morrowind Argonian loot a human/elven character's boots so that they magically turn into beast boots? I demand equality!

Human helmets can also fit Argonian heads, or, conversely, Argonians can shrink their heads to fit a human helmet. I love Elder Scrolls logic sometimes.

Oh yeah, and Argonians can make their horns disappear when wearing certain helmets. (Try the glass helmet on Archer sometime)
I smell a Skyrim Quickshots coming up--maybe even a Skyrim is Strange?
