I've written a fanfic for Archer called "Template of a Hero", so if you like these comics and you're interested, why not give his story a read? Here's the FF.net link: www.fanfiction.net/s/8362678/1…

Oh yeahhhhhh, now I remember. I remember when I first tried on the Dawnguard Helmet on my Argonian it looked absolutely ridiculous. XD

I liked the Argonians eyes in Oblivion, but they are much cooler in Skyrim.

I haven't played Morrowind. Oblivion did give you a lot of choices, not to say Skyrim's character creation isn't good too.

Poor Razaara looks very dark o.o Maybe there is clouds over him... Hmmm.
But argonians from Skyrim looks too much a like dragons :l

HelloMyNameIsEd In reply to Kikioh-San [2013-07-07 18:59:23 +0000 UTC]

Well, Razaara is my evil character, so that would maybe explain it.

I like Skyrim's Argonians, they look like dinosaurs, and, if you dovahkiin is one, then he/she looks like the very creature they are destined to kill. Irony!

Hmm... You are very right in that point! I haven't think about it in that way. Now, I see Skyrim's argonians in different way :3 And yes the irony!

I honestly love both in both games, as Blackmarsh does have varied races of argonians... also my argonian's ancestor was in oblivion as well

Oblivion's Argonians look strange, but I still like them.

The Argonians in Oblivion bugged the fuck outta me :/

I like the ones in SKyrim but I wish they had Digitigrade feet and needed specific shoes

EVERYTHING looks better in Skyrim than in Oblivion xD Graphics really weren't it's strength, I know it's an older game, but the faces looked better in Morrowind than in Oblivion.

Still, what it lacks in graphics and in good acting it makes up for with funny dialogue and character. Oblivion was definitely a lot of fun. It wasn't as detailed as Morrowind or as simple as Skyrim, it still had a lot of lore, but it didn't overwhelm you. It definitely wasn't as serious or as dark as Morrowind and Skyrim, it was more light-hearted, more fun with the crazy jumping so high you can literally jump over a house without effort, or how having a high acrobatics skill made you Jesus. It made no sense, it was insane, and that was what made it so fun to play. Though I did find the happy-go-lucky people quite annoying.

I like Oblivion's voice-acting a lot, and the quests are very good too. It's definitely a bit more in-depth and detailed than Skyrim, but both are great games, no doubt.

Asp-Assassin In reply to HelloMyNameIsEd [2013-07-07 18:27:18 +0000 UTC]

It was the expression that got me. Obviously in Oblivion facial expressions are better than Morrowind and Skyrim have none, and the dialogue I thought was great, the one thing that let it down was the voice acting. It didn't seem natural, it sounded forced to me. Like when Martin found out he was the Emperor's son, he just sorta accepted that without much surprise. He lived as a priest in a chapel raised by a poor farmer and is now being told he's the emperor's son, one would expect more response than that.

No doubt though, they are all great fun.

Just a little photoshopping. It'd be cool if you could mod an Oblivion character into Skyrim, though.

What time warp did Razaara jump into?

It's nice to see the differences side by side, although I do wish the lighting on Razaara was a bit better.

Archer must get his looks from the other side of the family - the side that hails from Jurassic Park instead of Innsmouth.

HelloMyNameIsEd In reply to Sir-Douglas-of-Fir [2013-07-07 16:56:56 +0000 UTC]

Heh, no kidding. Though to be fair, the Elder Scrolls lore says that there are different types of Argonians that inhabit Black Marsh.

Archer's ancestor got something to be proud of .
I restarted Oblivion too , never been able to finish the game ,way much longer than Skyrim .
You should've used the Oblivion Character Overhaul mod .

Even if Razaara is the moral opposite of Archer (he's my evil character), at least his descendant looks awesome.

I haven't seen that mod, maybe I should check it out.

I much prefer Skyrim's designs than in previous games. Though I'm certain any new Elder Scrolls game would have even better designs for the races.

I recently got Oblivion, played it for days, and tried to go back to Skyrim. Now I'm unnerved when dialogue boxes don't zoom into the character's face, the lipsynching goes off even by a little, and whenever I try to steal something I end up jumping instead...

HelloMyNameIsEd In reply to daedric-darling [2013-07-07 02:35:59 +0000 UTC]

I got Oblivion recently too. It makes me realize just how simplified they made Skyrim.

Razaara is my second character, and my first is an Imperial, Arminius. I haven't gotten very far on either one, though.

daedric-darling In reply to HelloMyNameIsEd [2013-07-07 02:38:17 +0000 UTC]

I'm just glad that in Skyrim you can attack ghosts with any weapon. Nothing worse than delving into a dungeon and being attacked by a ghost, with too low a level to have a silver weapon, and too high a level for flare to be any good... even Amnesia didn't scare me that much.

Argonians and Khajiit looked so much cooler in Skyrim than they did in Oblivion. Though that kind of applies to all the races in both games.

HelloMyNameIsEd In reply to Janus3003 [2013-07-07 02:15:41 +0000 UTC]

I totally agree. Even the humans and elves look good, in Oblivion they were kinda weird.

I'm still trying to figure out how to describe Oblivion's Argonians; frog-fish hybrid seems to be the best one.
