Gerome from Fire Emblem: Awakening!I've been a huge fan of the whole Fire Emblem series for years, so I started making these on Tumblr the past summer.

I must say, I love this style.
The cape looks amazing, the face looks even more amazing.
But the thing I love that you did is keeping the basic sketch.
It's fully painted and finished, but you left the sketch over it, and that gives it an amazing look!
I should try that at some point...though, it'll be a while before I can do anything this decent.
Just as a random question, why did you make his eyes brown?
Was it just what you picked? Or is there some meaning behind it?

Thank you! I'm glad you like the style :'D at first I felt it was too sketchy, so I was unsure whether to upload it or not... but it's a really comfortable and calming style to draw in! You should definitely try more sketchy stuff. I feel the more sketchy, the more "feel" a picture shows through it too so go for it!
I think his eyes are brown... images.wikia.com/fireemblem/im⦠but it depends from image to image I suppose. I've found some concept art in which they are a lighter brown, even reddish, but they look more black in there. I went for the original eye colour that the concept artist shows in his designs though.

Just imagine him walking to his tent one night and seeing a letter: "Dear Gerome, we get it your Batman. Stop showing off. signed: Everyone in camp."

It's cool how he barely takes off his mask and that he only shows himself either intentionally or unintentionally based on which predicament he's in (Hot-spring scramble conversation or confession in support).

Gerome's got to be one of my favorite kid characters. He's dressed like a dark hero, and his voice sounds perfect for him.
