Description
Because of too much work and other issues, I haven’t had as much time as I wanted to paint personal pieces lately, and this is the result of that. I’ve been working on this on and off for about 2 months, which is not how I usually work at all. I felt that I lost the connection with this piece so I just decided to finish it before ruining it further
Again, another Call of Cthuhlhu inspired piece, and the guy is kind of a portrait of myself. Don’t ask why :-P
Painted using Photoshop and a Wacom tablet. Reference used for the character.

This is of course a highly accomplished scene of an incredible standard. But what marks it out for me is the great character exuding from the gentleman.

hahha, I love it! I didn't think that that would be anyone but you. The guts on that thing look so real too, so real that its actually disgusting! haha, good job!
Hey, did I miss it, or have you and Tascha not yet done that collaboration that I recall you mentioning?
I think it would be cool to see you two do some sort of portrait/charictiture, maybe even a time piece with the both of you. Any thoughts?

What is this starting in grey-scale thing? I honestly don't get how you can paint an entire image in B/W and then suddenly make it colour o0?
But anyway - it's beautiful, and I loved looking at the process.

Utterly flawless work. I love this piece's personality and the mixture of banal imagery and surreal gore = really ace aesthetic! Not to mention your perfect grasp of human anatomy and character and the originality of the creature's design. This has got to be one of the most accomplished images I've seen on DA!

Two months of work was definitely worth it! It looks so realistic, and I have to mention the wine bottle(if it is a wine bottle), but it looks VERY realistic along with everything else in the painting.

Nice shoes! ;-P
I kinda prefere these personal artworks. They just reflect our tastes better.
This one is amazing. The contrasts between lights and darks are, as usual, masterly done.
Although this piece was inspired by Call of Cthuhlhu as you said, I immediately remembered Alone in the Dark when I looked at it.
Congratulations for it!!!
Cheers!

OMG, this is AWESOME! Tentacular! Ooooh....what a great idea for a Pixelbrush event, too. Portray yourself as a hero...a Cthulhu-killer, elven archer slaying orcs, vampire hunter, angel battling demon, Jedi vs. Sith...hmmmmm!
