Description
This is an illustration for Fantasy Flight Games collectible card game named A Game of Thrones, which is based on the world of best-selling author George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice & Fire.
The character is Melisandre.
Illustrations for card games like this always have short deadlines, and are supposed to be viewed on a smaller scale than here.

There's two minor issues with this one, they aren't that important though. She's supposed to wear long, heavy robes most of the time I believe, they still show herself off, especially in the bust area, but also hide a lot. (she's able to be almost grotesquely pregnant and not have anyone know it until she drops her robe at one point). I do love this though.

if i remember correctly (i finished A Storm of Swords a couple of hours ago), Melisandre's hair is supposed to be even redder - i believe it says so, somewhere in the books, that it's not a natural hair-red but RED. she looks totally wicked, as in the books (man she gives me the creeps), and looks just like i imagined - except for the haircolour, and the ruby at her throat which i always imagined to be big and glowing. other than that, it's a stunning piece, i love it.

Interesting interpretation of Melisandre. Most artists tend to give her blood red hair, though she is described by GRRM as having more of a coppery color -- for that I must applaud you. For her face, as well. The characters who interact with her seem unable to decide if she is beautiful or not...and I think this picture has captured her unorthodox looks while maintaining a rather comely appearance. Well done.

What I like the most in this picture isn't the actual character, but the fire in the background. I just love the color play in it, I could stare at it for hours. Overall it's an enchanting and very beautiful work.

Whee! She's red!! Well done, except in knowing the books, doesn't she have a large ruby hanging at her throat, pendant-style? Anyways, just something you might want to consider, but great job (can you tell I've read the books?) Also something else- you might want to include the banner of R'hlor (I think thats how its spelled), which I believe is a flaming/fiery heart on a yellow field. You'd have to double check that, its been a while, but overall, I love her expression as well as just the power she gives off. Well done!
