Description
Here's the next one.Tips continued
1) I've noticed that she appears very flat (shading wise) in the anime, so I demonstrated how certain areas would be shaded or highlighted.
2) As I mentioned on the picture itself, her lower leg and gauntlets are metal, so you should draw them as such. The animators have a HUGE tendency to get the most lazy with her design, so that even her ARMOR that has EDGES AND CURVES looks like it's flat fabric. IT'S NOT FABRIC, there'd be no practicality behind using fabric as a shield.
-Her gear is very STREAMLINED and FEMININE.
3) A very generic flying/fighting pose. When drawing Kazemon in battle, keep in mind that WIND/AIR IS FLIUD AND GRACEFUL. It should wrap around her, and look reminiscent of how steam floats off of a pond; it should CURL and TWIST. That way it complements what I'm about to say next.
-She has an hourglass figure, so first make a rectangle, then superimpose (draw) two equilateral triangles (or as close as you can) in the rectangle. DO NOT DRAW HER WITH A LARGE CHEST OR BREASTS. Seriously, think of her as a dancer; she is lean and graceful. If she was top heavy, she would have a harder time moving around the way she does. The whole point of this is because she herself moves FLUIDLY, and THAT REFLECTS HER ELEMENT.
I hope this helps you guys.
Beetlemon's next, then Lowemon.

I like this one over the others. The legs and gauntlets are especially cool, almost elvish or something.

She's a very, so they have to have a bit of 'fantasy' in their design.

I just now read the part about an "Hourglass figure" and I think, "She has the hourglass figure all female digimon fans probably want."

Probably, but I find it stereotypical that she's so lithe compared to the rest of the gang. I get that as a female she's just naturally smaller, but damn! The guys are anywhere from four to seven inches shorter that some of the other warriors.

It is sterotypical, but also, I've always connected wind to being lithe. Though, she should've at least been a bit taller.
Though, statisitcally, after age twenty, most women are somewhat shorter than the men who were once shorter to them (Becuase girls start growing, and thus stop growing, before boys do. Thus, they tend to grow a lot, but in a shorter time.)But it was over exaggerated.

Yeah, I never really liked how Digimon altered proportions; they're too different and can be very awkward in some places. (Especially when it's arm and legs length, or the thickness of a torso.)

It also makes them harder for those of us who study anatomy and try to draw them. The torso is just so... Large, or it's teeny tiny. No inbetween.

Yeah, I really wish that they had gotten better at sizing out their creations.
