Tips Continued

1) I personally don't understand how the animators can mess up his design when it's so easy, but they do. I made him a bit more proportionally correct and balanced. *Gah, he's so cute and fluffy, I want to keep him.*

2) YOU'RE ALL WELCOME. I had to hunt for so many references for these symbols...frustrating as heck. As it notes on the page, please keep in mind that these symbols have specific areas that they appear on, and most have reversals. *EDIT* Okay! I get it! I drew the chest mark on the wrong side, I get it! Stop sending me notes about it, I had looked at the manwha for a reference since there aren't to many regular ones of high-quality. They had the chest mark flipped, and I thought that's just how it went.*

3) Eye construction will be part of your downfall. Use OVALS when drawing his eye-shape, then CUT THE BOTTOMS OFF. This gives you the semi-ovular shape that your desire. his irises too are oval shaped, along with the highlights. Use DARK OUTLINES when you define his PUPIL, LASH-LINE, and CORNERS. Use SOFT SHADING in his IRISES.

4) Flamon, unlike Agunimon, is extremely thin. In this respect, his shape embodies that of Lobomon, however he is even more lithe than the Warrior of Light. His body is basically all RECTANGULAR. Thin TUBES and a slight CURVE at the neck define his shoulders and arms. He has what I refer to as a 'shallow chin' which just means that it's small compared to others. The top of his hair has THREE MAJOR POINTS, then almost falls into a PONYTAIL-LIKE SHAPE, where the bottom flares out again. Think of how hair is tied back and goes inward.

5) Diagram on how his tail is shaped. People, PLEASE, FOLLOW THE SHAPE OF THE TAIL. It doesn't stick out in as many places as you'd think. It's modeled after fire, and FIRE FLOWS IN ONE GENERAL DIRECTION.

6) Arm construction. THIN TO JUST AFTER THE ELBOW. Then the glove comes on and adds WIDTH. However, the arm DOES NOT become thin again, and he has LARGER HANDS. The KNUCKLES are almost always emphasized. It's kinda like a puppy, they have large paws that they eventually grow into.
