Description So much like Link, I made Princess Zelda in DAZ Studio. I am really proud of this one, as it required a lot more work than Link. There was a lot of custom texture work, experimenting with different layers of clothing and I had to take a lot of pieces from different sets. I mainly based her design off her Ocarina of Time appearance.

For the base model, I used Aiko 7 with Mika 7 textures as well as some head morphs to change the face a bit. The hair is "Astrid Hair" which looks pretty close to Zelda's Twilight Princess hair. The dress is called "Medieval Princess Dress" and this is where a lot of the custom texture work took place. Firstly, the top of the dress was a simple recolor and needed an opacity map to hide the sleeves. The bottom part of the dress including the belt is actually made up of two of the dresses layered over top of each other. The white skirt was again a simple recolor, but the tapestry and the belt are where a lot of the work came in. I copied the tapestry in Illustrator exactly from her Ocarina of Time dress, and had to lay it over the texture of the dress and distort it to make it appear correctly on the model. I also had to create an opacity map to hide the rest of the second dress. The belt is again a retexture of the dress, but this time I only had to make the bump map to bring out the engravings in the belt. The gold texture is from "Uber+ Iray Antique Metals" and is used there as well as the shoulder armor and the tiara. As for those, the shoulder armor is from the "Champion Outfit for Genesis 3 Females" armor set and the tiara is from "Medieval Fantasy Accessories for Genesis 3 Females." Lastly, the gloves are from "Evening Gown for Genesis 3 Females" and were retextured with "Elegant Fabric Iray Shaders."

So this one did need a bit of PHotoshop work, only to enhance the shadow from the tapestry on the dress. For some reason, the lighting setup I used had very soft shadows and it was difficult to see any depth between the tapestry and the dress.

Great job! I've also done Zelda stuff in Daz, but yours is definitely more accurate to the games. Creative work on the textures and putting the outfit together. You might take a look at www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/el… and www.daz3d.com/filosofy-princes… for Zelda dresses, too, not to mention www.renderosity.com/mod/freest… .

Those are good but I but after all the time I put into this (that tapestry took a long time) I want to stick with mine. Besides, I like that it's my own design for the character's outfit. It helps keep my stuff unique, you know.
