Description
Done in a variety of ring sizes with 16 and 18 gauge bright aluminum, using mostly variants of European 6-in-1 and Celtic Visions. Some day there will be a full chess set, one side in aluminum and the other in brass, of course with a matching board. However, that day is likely a long way off.

You got me curious, so I just did some measurements and ran the numbers... The king is actually about 6" tall. He weighs about 4 oz in aluminum. Now, sterling silver weighs about 7.22 times what aluminum weighs, so it would clock in at roughly 28.9 oz in silver. Considering I pay an average of about $17.50/oz for silver rings, that comes out to ... Wait for it ...
$505!! For one piece, in raw materials alone.
So yea, I think I'll stick to aluminum and brass for now.

As I said in the description, I already plan to make it a full set some day. But that will be a long time from now.
It takes many hours to make one of these pieces, and most of my time has to be devoted to things I can sell in the short run, like jewelry, to put food on the table.
Unfortunately, doing it in precious metals really isn't an option right now. The king is a good 5" high. I'd estimate it would take nearly $100 in sterling silver for just that one piece, and sterling silver is one of the cheapest precious metals out there. So, unless somebody wanted to commission the piece, and pay a chunk of it up front, I can't afford to do that.

Well, so far I've got 4 pieces. It's going to take me a LONG time to just complete the set I'm working on now. When that's done, I'll think about a precious metal version, but probably only if I have a buyer already lined up.
