Description
Easily the LONGEST issue of The Horror yet, this time around we take you along in the magical world of creating an original character for yourself to use!It's fun and edumacational, as well as helping out the newbs a little bit!
Step by step, we go through the process of creating a character, showing the best ways to make your character stand out from the crowd, as well as listing notable things to avoid at all costs!

* The three "Example" characters at the end are quite stupid and generic, especially the last one. Heck, even our "build-a-character" is kinda ecch. I trust you'll be able to come up with something better.

NOTE 2: At the time of creating this comic, my grasp on the English language was less advanced than it is now. As such, I was completely unaware of the fecal slang connotations to the word "Deuce". Therefore, this character has officially been renamed "Minty Joe".
In so far that I actually used this character to begin with, that is.

This is really interesting. I'd like to use your method to make a Sonic OC, but what's Sonic? I don't have the video games.

A perfect guide for Newbies in the character-creating business ^_^
I'd highly suggest it for a Sonic Fan who just wans to join in the fun of making an OC, or wants to quickly whip one up for a roleplay.
More experienced people may, however, want to avoid using a base, and instead start their idea right from the basic animal. Bases are probably the cause of so many similar characters...
(Then again, I don't use bases, and not a single one of my characters even remotely resembles the Sonic style XD )
(But when it comes to Sprite comics, I see why you use bases ^_^ )
And many of these tips are definitely in need of being spread around, in more than just Sonic fandom!
The whole claiming Canon Characters, posing, etc. Should be warned against more

That should come in handy in creating characters that actually have some attitude and capacity to be enjoyed... that is, for those that don't run in terror at a sole mention of an educational aspect of anything written...oh well. 
It's good that you mentioned whole issue with people making their characters ultimately and infinitely strong/powerful etc. Quite a lot people have made OC's more powerful than Shadow and Silver, even composed together, could ever hope to be, pretty much becoming "crown" of all ultimate original characters- which is Zipperflash from "Ultimate Sonic fan fic" himself...and this is not to good.
Anyway, I had enjoyed reading this, both for education and amusement that this creation of yours provides!

He can die, but he's able to revive over an amount of time (much exaggerated in one of the more recent IMP catoons

This is really freakin' awsome XD I'm gonna show this a friend of mine that has a fanchara but still looks like a ripped off sonic. Wanted to change him so he doesn't look like sonic anymore but I think he failed

You mean the sprites I used in the comic? Well, it's no surprise you can't find them anywhere; a friend of mine made those himself, so I could use them in my comic.
But if you wanna use those sprites as a base to start creating your character with, I suppose there's no harm in that. Just don't claim 'em as your own, 'K? They're not even technically mine to begin with. ;D

As for Sonic Clones, I'm kinda guilty there. Fortunately the whole thing about roleplays and whatnot is dead and buried (I thank god I got away from that crowd when I did). The godmoders of the net used to be in my circle of friends, one of which really needs to stop acting like a complete pimp. I have a right mind to show this to him in the hopes he'll stop calling himself "Sonails-5000"

Concerning the "Sonic Clones"... Hey, been there, done that, wrote the comic about it.
I'm not denying the fact that I myself have often enough acted like a regular "SONIC 3453"; heck, I'm still not entirely satisfied with the look of my character now and then. I just hope that with this, I'll be able to help people to not make the same mistakes I have; or worse yet, keep doing so regardless.

Helped me make a character
I've never done roleplay before but I could imagine some guy saying he was invincible married to rouge faster than super sonic normally and he could shoot beams of energy everywhere. Heck it would be like dragonball Z them shooting beams at each other.

It's a bit too much effort to really change the comic for it now, though... aside from that, Panel 21 wouldn't work as well as it does now if I renamed him right away. c_c
But he shall have his new name intact when he shall make his inevitable reappearance in a future episode of The Horror. Possibly even next one.

I did all them before this comic came out ^^ I made my fan char Felouse to be original but looked like the rest of his species as best as possible and also tried to make him unique if you know what I mean anyway nice work and keep up the sprite comics

That design you dreamt up is sort of...disgusting XD
I remember my fuirst sort of "role play" character, it was a megaman edited into a Mad-Corps soiler from the Mad Capsule Markets albums. He was kind of scary.
Personally, I think there's enough sonic recolours to stack up to the moon, I would like to see people at least do recolours of characters other than the main ones, for example. There are WAY too many Sonics, for example. Howabout fan-made versions of Snivley, Sally, Ray, Teckno and other misc characters. Some people just don't have a whole lot of creativity (No offense H XD)
Still, this is a nice guide for people that do want to make these kind of characters, especially the whole "Dont be a moron" bits. We have enough of those as it is

No offense taken - I'm well aware of the fact that I could've made up a way better character for myself.
It's just that people already know me so well as the character I've adopted over the years, and it was hard enough already to get used to the pants and cap I got myself measured into in IMP.
