Rae Taylor, previously Rei Oohashi, was an overworked office worker, whose only form of joy came in the form of the otome game Revolution, but everything changed after she died and was reborn as the main character of Revolution, and now got to attend the Royal Academy of the game as a student. With this new life, Rae only had one goal, to be around the villainess of the game, her favorite character, and the woman she loved, Claire François, even if the villainess didn’t like it. Claire was not someone who was very honest with her feelings, always taking an aggressive and arrogant attitude towards everything, a typical tsundere, as Rae called her. Even if Claire was always acting mean towards her, Rae loved everything about the villainess. Rae’s love was so big she even used her knowledge of the game to ensure a position as Claire’s personal maid to spend as much time possible with her.

That day, Claire had the intention of going to the library to study, and of course, Rae followed her as soon as she found out.

"Don’t follow me you commoner!" yelled the blonde villainess "Didn’t a professor asked you for help in something?"

"Awww, Miss Claire! You are paying attention to me." Rae said in a joyful tone.

"That’s… That’s not it!" Claire’s face blushed "You are my maid, I need to be aware of your schedule! That’s all there is to it."

"Whatever you say Miss Claire. I will see you tonight your bedroom where we can demonstrate our love."

"Stop saying nonsense, commoner."

An annoyed Claire left the place, leaving Rae behind. Neither of them had any idea that Claire’s movements were being monitored.

When Claire was done studying, she made her way back to her dormitory. She was tired and wanted to go to sleep as soon as she got there. She would probably have to deal with Rae’s attitude, but at least she would be useful to help her get ready for bed quickly. It was nice to have her around.

"What am I thinking? That commoner is just an annoyance." she said to herself.

She kept walking while arguing against her feelings. However, when Claire was walking in a certain hallway, a mysterious figure appeared at the end of it. It was dark, but thanks to the moonlight she could distinguish it was a masked man.

"Who are you?" Claire asked with alarm.

She turned her head and saw another masked man at the other end of the hallway. She didnt know what those men intentions were, but it sure wasn’t anything good.

"You have some guts coming after me." she said with confidence as she pulled out her magic wand. "You should leave before you get hurt."

The men gave no response and started walking slowly towards her. Claire prepared to cast a fire spell to defend against those intruders. However, Claire failed to notice she was standing near a closed door, which quickly opened, and from the room came a small water bullet that hit her hand, making her drop the wand. Before Claire could try to pick it up, two more men appeared from the now open door and took a hold of her arms, immobilizing her.

"Ahhh!! Release me right now!! Do you have any idea who are you messing with?"

"We know who you are, Miss François." Said the man who appeared first as he approached the blonde girl. "You are coming with us."

"Shut up! If you don’t leave me right now, you will… Mphhhh!!!" Claire’s words were stopped by a white cloth on her mouth. "What is this?"

"You have some anger issues. This will help you relax."

The smell of the cloth was making Claire lose her strength little by little. She tried to free herself, but it was futile. Perhaps she could have done anything with her wand, but those men were smart to make her drop it as soon as they could. With how proud Claire was, she hated the idea of becoming a helpless damsel at the mercy of others, but that was her reality now.

"I'm going… to pass out… No… Someone… help me… please…" she thought without any regard for her pride. She just wanted someone to save her, anyone would do. In her final moments, someone specific unexpectedly came to mind "Help me... Rae..."

With no more strength in her, Claire passed out in the arms of her captors. The man holding the chloroform put the cloth away, and confirmed she was asleep.

"There she goes." The man said, obviously smiling under his mask "Lay her down on the floor."

The other men obeyed, and their leader proceeded to remove Claire’s shoes.

"Boss, shouldn’t we be going?"

"Relax, we have a few minutes to spare" the leader said as he was removing Claire’s white stockings "Also, our orders are to capture the girl, it doesn’t matter if she is missing a few things."

It was impossible to convince their leader when he acted like that, they could only watch as he finished removing the stockings. But when the man was about to touch Claire’s bare legs, something happened.

"Watch out!!" yelled one of the men pushing his leader aside as an ice bullet quickly passed by, almost hitting them.

All the intruders saw how a girl had appeared at the end of the hallway and cast water magic towards them. They tried to grab Claire quickly, but a water barrier quickly appeared between Claire and them, making them step back. From the other side of the barrier, they saw how the new girl was now holding Claire, trying to wake her up. It was Rae, who came looking for Claire to surprise her in the hallway.

"Miss Claire! Please wake up, Miss Claire!!" yelled Rae trying to get a reaction from her, but to no avail. "Why is this happening?"

Rae's mind was working at full speed trying to understand the situation. This wasn’t an event in the game. Her knowledge of the game was perfect, there was no way she wouldnt know about something like this. There had been some events that played differently, but at least they had resemblance to the game. This was completely new, almost like a new chapter someone added out of nowhere. Rae tried to figure out who were those men. They could be working for another noble family enemy of House François. Perhaps they were extremists from the commoners movement trying to get payback from the nobles. There were many possibilities.

"No… that doesn’t matter."

She stopped caring about why this was happening. Her only priority now was to protect Claire. Ironically, there have been times where she fantizised about rescuing Claire from some danger, like her knight in shining armor, but now those fantasies seemed repugnant to her. She realized that seeing the woman she loved in danger was not pleasant. She had no knowledge of what they were planning to do with Claire, but her mind made the worst possible assumptions, after seeing that she was missing her stockings, which made her angrier.

"Kill her!" The leader ordered to one of his men, who could use wind magic.

The man took his wand casted a powerful wind blast toward the girls. Due to the elemental advantage of wind over water, the barrier broke. Thinking Rae was defenseless, the same man casted another attack, but this time an earth barrier came from the ground protecting the girls. That was also Rae’s magic.

"No way. She is a Dual Caster"

"No matter what, I will protect you, Miss Claire." Rae said to the sleeping Claire, before focusing all of her attention on her enemies. The earth wall went back into the floor, and the attackers saw an angry Rae holding her wand towards them. "You will pay for this!"

Rae's wand started to shine in a powerful light. Iron walls appeared behind the men, leaving them with no escape route. They realized they were trapped with a dangerous beast that would show no mercy. That night the world would learn what happens when you mess with Rae’s dear villainess.
