It was a rough day for Dorothea Arnault. After a rough training session and a long war council, she was exhausted. It had been like this for the last few months since she joined the war against the Adrestian Empire, ruled by her former friend Edelgard. She was willing to do all she could, specially if it was for her dear Professor, but it was still very consuming for her.

At least the day was over, and she could finally rest. Dorothea entered her room, and took off her shoes and tights, allowing her to finally relax a little. She walked to a window and contemplated the night sky. She felt nostalgic for her home in the Empire. She missed her former classmates that sided with Edelgard when the war started. She did not regret her decision of siding with Professor Byleth, who help her improve in many ways after she moved to his class, but she still wondered how it would be on the side empire if things had turned out differently.

But whether it was fate or bad luck she wouldn’t be far from the empire for much longer. As she was looking at the sky, someone suddenly grabbed her from behind. She tried to scream, but her attacker covered her mouth and nose with an object with a strange smell.

“MPPHHHH”

She turned her head a little and saw the man who was attacking her, it was Hubert von Vestra, her former classmate and the right hand of Edelgard. Many people were scared of him, a feeling Dorothea did not share with the rest, but this time she saw him as a figure of absolute terror as he was holding her tightly with a handkerchief on her face, blocking her screams or terror.

“Nothing personal, you little traitor, but Lady Edelgard wants to see you”

Dorothea was as much confused as scared. Why would Edelgard order her kidnapping? Dorothea was scared of what could happen to her. Even if Edelgard was her friend many years ago, she knew her old friend was no longer the same. The young songstress tried to resist with all her strength, but Hubert was much stronger than her. She couldn’t even use her magic with the drug making her more and more dizzy. No matter how much she tried to scream, it was futile. No one would come to her aid.

“Professor... Anyone… Help… me…” she thought before her body went limp and her eyes closed in a deep slumber.

Hubert saw that Dorothea was finally out, so he removed the handkerchief from her face and confirmed that she was sleeping.

It had all been way easier than Hubert expected. The security in Garreg Mach was strong, but these dorms were very unprotected, so Hubert was able to sneak into Dorothea’s room and wait for her arrival.

“Bring Dorothea to me, Hubert” Those were the orders from the ruler of the Adrestian Empire.

It was a strange request from Lady Edelgard. Perhaps she wanted to punish Dorothea for siding with the church, perhaps she wanted to recruit her again as a talented mage, or perhaps she only wanted Dorothea at her side due to some other feelings; Dorothea´s beauty could not be denied, especially when looking her in sleep. Regardless of the reason, it was not his place to question Her Majesty. Hubert would always fulfill all of Edelgard’s desires and ambition.

Hubert put away his handkerchief and carried Dorothea in his arms. She was the embodiment of a sleeping beauty, as expected from the most beautiful songstress in the empire. Even someone as stoic as Hubert could not avoid the feelings coming from having her in his arms. But now it was not the time for feelings, he was still on a mission. With his target secured, Hubert used his teleportation magic to leave.
