I can now say I at least know what this whole Vocaloids thing is now.As commissioned by , here's Haku Yowane and Luka Megurine, with Haku stuffed to excess by a frustrated Luka who I'm pretty sure is pregnant here. I mean, I'm fairly sure that's what I was going for.
Anyway Haku's character seems to be based entirely around "is drunk" so I'd imagine her breath could probably kill cattle.
I rather enjoyed the designs on these things. Maybe I should grab a demo and see what sort of musical horrors I could drum up.

The Wikipedia articles on vocaloids should dispel any remaining confusion.
I've been a Haku fan for a few years now. Mainly because boobs. Luka is actually bustier than Haku but for some reason she gets light usage in MMD videos. Go figure. It's really hard to tell what if anything is canon with any vocaloid, but in addition to being a serious drinker, its generally accepted that she's a pretty good car mechanic and may be a "drunken master" martial artist.

o 3 o Vocaloid can be a tad confusing, but it's normally just a voice synthesizer. Like, you get an artificial voice bank and make it sing various things.
And well, they've became so popular they're practically idols in Japan. ouo

Ah yeah, that much I've gathered. I'm more lost on the various publishers and ownerships of the non-Miku characters is all, since even the vocaloid wiki only sees fit to say as little info as possible in as many words as they can.

LOVE Haku, and I swear, this has to be the greatest thing EVER. XD Or one of the greatest things from your gallery. I love Haku, as she's my favorite Utaunoid(?). Basically, a fanmade Vocaloid.

Actually, she's considered an official vocaloid, even though she was originally just a face they pasted onto poorly done Miku songs. Now her voice is just down-pitched Miku's.
