I'm not normally one to do snake girls, as cute as they may end up sometimes, but browsing through the enemy gallery for Phantasy Star Gaiden and finding Charmer in there made me reconsider. The art style for the game is all chibified/super-deformed, but it just inadvertantly made her look pregnant for half a second and here we are.Yeah, uh, I don't know HOW the reproductive cycle on these things work.
Also, wearing a snake as a bra is totally a good fashion statement.

A couple thoughts:
1. If you want to do a chubby snake again, I'd recommend Googling "gaboon viper." Those things are faaaaaaaaaaaat...
2. The actual reproductive cycle varies from species to species, but snakes either a) lay eggs or b) gestate their eggs internally, 'giving birth' to fully-formed offspring packed in placenta-like amnions. Females of all species go through a gravid phase while the eggs develop though, so a pregnant lamia is fairly reasonable.
Incidentally, gaboon vipers give 'live birth'

I'm pretty sure the snake bra is part of the sprite, but it's so damn hard to tell. That, and it's funny, so there it is.
And her hands really are a disaster area! Would you believe that I spent more times on her hands than I did on the entire picture, twice over? Because it's true. Eventually I just cut my losses and accepted the fact that yesterday was just not hand day.
'Course, I also should've practiced quality control and just held off on posting until I COULD draw hands, but, you all know me by know, it's impossible.
It is some sort of metal belt/buckle/waist necklace. I just went crazy giving her some jewellery because it seemed like the right thing to do at the time. Also not sure why.

Well adding more jewellery might spruce up the piece, the waist belt-thingy just makes it seem as if her scaly-body-tail bit was more like a pair of pants then an organic part of her.
