The idea is very good, some things are pretty well managed as the reflection of the fire on the ground, and all fit pretty well
Few suggestions, fire is intense, why not make its glow on the model and the columns of the background ... put shadows of models, may be the colors of the layers or play with the saturation, darken the scene by applying a black gradient effect .....

Thank you for the advices. I added a reddish glow to the pillars and also to the jinn. And I intensified the shadows in the nooks. Do you think it looks better now?

Yes, it's much better, there, you just have to play with colors and saturation to match everything.Β Β

The colors are a little too bright for a dark effect, you couldΒ match all the colors.

My original submission to DigitlCreed has expired. Do you think it's worth to re-submit "The Ifrit" or is it still not good enough for the group?

I've used some of your hints (Light reflexions, shadows in the corners, light effects on the floor an the columns). Some I didn't use as I don't like the result.
I'm pretty happy with the current result and I call it finished.

Had I not come across that very word just yesterday, I would have had no idea what an Ifrit was
This is rather well done. I like how you've added a highlight to the floor to suggest the light from the fire. And you did a very good job extending her skin to where her shirt used to be. Well done!!
If I could offer a few suggestions?
The highlight on the floor looks good, but if you could make it even bigger and brighter, it would look great! Remember, fire generates a lot of light.
The shadow is a good touch too, but always try to start the shadow from directly underneath the object that is casting it. A shadow is always darkest at its source. For a really realistic effect, you could also try using the paintbrush and then Smudge tool to block in a more detailed shadow. Draw roughly where you want the shadow to appear, then smudge it around using the Smudge tool. The Freehand Selection tool with Feathered Edges also works well.
Finally, using the same method with the Paintbrush and Smudge tool, you can also add highlights! If you could add highlights overtop of the lamp (separate Layer of course) from the fire, it would look amazing!!
But regardless what you've done here is very good.
Thanks for using our stock!
Dan
