Description
Part of an assignment for my environmental art class where we had to draw an overmap of two islands based on written descriptions. This island is called Ursa Major and it was described as so:Rhinelander is a mainly dense forested region inhabited by Fairies. The Fairies are stewards of the Forrest and create a great deal of folklore these lands. There is a city on the trees here that is legendary. A quarter of the island is swamp that impenetrable by humans. Ships can dock on its northern coast of Rhinelander. There is Demon that inhabits the swamplands.
1. There are no mountains on Rhinelander
2. There is a lost city on itβs Eastern coast
3. It always rains in the northern area.
4. the largest tree in the world exists on this island named Big Ben.
5. This Level needs to be embellished by you

Not that the background is lacking or anything, but you totally should have used an ancient parchment. Partly because it would fit the theme, and partially because the first thing I thought of when I saw these was the map from Kings Quest: Mask of Eternity, which is a pretty awesome game (although 10+ years old now).
On another note, those trees... They look good even though they're clearly not super high quality. I guess its just that it matches the style and the lighting is done well.
Overall it looks pretty good. I thought you were making actual 3D places though lol.

You couldn't just draw a raincloud over the north part of the island without touching the rest of it?

Well it needs to work well in the full view as well: [link]
having a cloud there would look decidedly odd and would cover the other island

I already saw the full view. Yeah, that would cover it.
