Description
I'm bored, so I did this. Very lame. Especially considering the Matilda was so named because of a cartoon!Still, the Matilda is my favourite tank in the game : slow, painfully slow, and not much of use against higher-tier tanks, but I value above everything else accuracy and penetration power, all of which its 2-pounder Mark X B (actually a normal Mark X with a Littlejohn adaptor) can provide. I just love to snipe from afar, and with this baby I can do it wonderfully; sure, I need a few shots to kill the enemy, but I like seeing them squirm!

Not much use against higher tier tonks... WAT?! Good Sir, I am pretty regularly knocking out KV-1s and M4 Derpmans in that thing; it has to be the bestΒ of the tier 4s, assuming you don't use spremmo.

Ok, but even though the gun is almost an MG and it has good pen, the damage it does is slightly (only slightly)... underwhelming. So you have to keep pumping shells into them, hoping to kill them before they can kill you.

Distance, bushes, hulldown, and allied tanks providing a destraction are key against higher tier tanks. When you are not top tier, assume that all guns will penn, and act accordingly as a support tank. I have killed more than a few Sherman A3 varients and T-150s this way, along with a spectacularly stupid Churchill VII. While your damage per shot is low, your DPM is pretty high, so making sure to survive is key; knowing how to knock out the guns and gunners on enemy Matildas is also important, as you will see lotsΒ of them. I cannot say the Matilda is perfect, as it is not by any means, but of the tanks at its tier it is one of the few that can bridge the power gap with any degree of reliability, especially with the current corridor Meta.Β

As for the Matilda BP . . it's a waste of space. And money. :C

the Matilda really is lovable, for a medium tank it behaves more like heavy
i just like how it can take some damage while hitting precvise and hard with a high rate of fire
long story short: one of the best tanks i've ever driven
i still have it in my garage, although i already have the churchill

Ah yes the matilda, I love that tank myself. I still kept it, and I transferred the crew I had in there to the centurion Mk 1; But I'm still going to keep it because it is that much fun to use with that rapid fire and the penetrating capability to pen even Tier 6 from the front in sniping mode, not to mention the chance to bounce shots. Too bad I never get to use it a lot because I'm busy trying to get the E-50m and trying to move on to the Centurion Mk7/1. Not to mention saving up the creds for those tanks that my loewe gets played more than any other tank.

Well, I'm far behind you; I currently have nothing higher than Tier 5 (even if I researched the Churchill VII, but I don't have the money to buy it yet), and my sights are set on the Panther for now.
