Description
Phew, creating tutorials is a lot more work than I anticipated! The lineart section wasn't so bad to compile, but the shading part (which will come very soon I hope) is getting annoying haha. I am probably going to break these down into several sections for shading, so like one for skin, one for hair, one for clothes. My shading techniques are pretty much the same for all three but with some minor differences. If this was helpful at all, please let me know (and if it wasn't, let me know why so I can improve my next one!). Also, please do not hesitate to ask me to clarify things!!
and please do not tell my graphic design professor about how terribly put together this is lol

It took me awhile before I noticed it as well!!
As far as I know, there are five different brush types: pen, airbrush, marker, watercolor, and brush. Of course all the tools are really customizable so you can alter them to whatever you want!
The pen tool is usually more solid, but you can change the settings to make it more soft. The pen tool does not have blending properties.
The airbrush tool also does not have blending properties, but it typically is not as dense as the regular pen tool. More like a cloud.
The watercolor has blending, dilution, and persistence settings that the others do not. These settings which can be changed allow you to make the brush more or less opaque and blend more or less.
The marker tool has blending properties but it does not have the dilution option that the watercolor has.
The brush tool is pretty much like the watercolor tool, but it usually has a higher opacity. It's kinda like the pen tool only you can blend things.

Yay! I was so happy when I saw this update in my inbox!
I love this tutorial! It's detailed with informative images.
Ciel's face looks great and grumpy ^^! Can't wait for the shading tutorial! I hope it's not getting too annoying xD!
Your lineart is so smooth, can't believe that's how it looks up close....it's like magic !
By the way, you're really good at drawing clothing folds, looks neat.

Yayyy, I'm glad it helped out. The shading one should be just as detailed, if not moreso. It's been a pain because I've been screenshotting every step, haha. xD
MAGIC, YES!
Thank you so much! I hope to get the shading one up within the week!
