Description
Collage in an altered board book (10.5 x 10.5 ")Vintage papers, acrylic glazes, distress inks, tissue paper, acetate transparencies
Inspired by sitting in traffic in the dry dustiness that is Johannesburg spring, and seeing a flatbed truck cross the road in front of me, laden with slender young poplar trees in sacks, their tender green leaves trembling as they journeyed to a place where they could put down roots.

I would be in love if there were skies of that actual color. I am guessing the trees are the gates and the bird is the gatekeeper.
