Collage on a page in a large Moleskine journal, sent around for collaboration by *KanchanCollageInks, stitching, packing tape transfer, washi tape, Tim Holz tissue tape, lace packing tape, acetate transparency of a detail from a John William Waterhouse painting (Flora and the Zephyrs 1898) [link]

I like your use of the lace overlay, and how it almost seems to pixelate the painting. The patterns and textures fit together so well. β₯
I also love the quote that you've used - 'it is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves'. Where's it from?

The quote is actually a common misquote of Shakespeare: "The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, But in ourselves, that we are underlings ..." (Julius Caesar)

How did you get the soft focus, blurred effect in the centre? Itβs gorgeous, like a memory.

It's the effect of the acetate transparency over the lace packing tape.
