Inspired by this pic (used it loosely as reference but ended up not bearing much similarity in the end, though it was still super useful).This amazing tutorial helped me lay the groundwork (oh, and the cloud smudge brush is now my new favourite cloud brush).
Thanks also to theechodragon , for sharing his awesome brush pack, which I used here.

Yes, digital. I use Photoshop elements with this cheap drawing tablet that I would recommend were it not for the drivers being utterly abysmal. Keep having to reinstall. Once had to do it twice in the same week.

Thank you! Yeah, I don't often use the smudge tool either, though I think for clouds I will be using that smudge brush in future. It's really trial and error finding the right technique and tools for clouds. Took ages to get it looking right though.

i've yet to ever paint clouds, it looks so easy but i know it's pretty hard. i'm gonna have to practice it, too.
