Description
As he rose the lightning shaped dagger above his head, the magic seal appeared beneath him. Power surged around the lightning symbol. Suddenly energy burst from seal and connected with the dagger where it was redirected to the user's other hand. There it gathered and increased in power till it was released on one big surge out from the caster toward his foe.Full View Please
Holy pajamas! That's right, my rune series is pretty well known for those who watch me, so I finally added...well...am working on completing it. It's been over a year since I did one, but all the shots were taken way back. (which suck now in my opinion, but I want them to match the others so still using them).
So this is the lightning dagger (or could be a short sword i guess). I think the reasons I chose this weapon are obvious. And I think my skills have increased since a year ago, so woots.

Lightning was done in this pic with some brushes I found. Cut and pasted most of the brushes so they were not the same all the way through. Added lots of extra lighting and such. And that was about it.

This is awesome, I love your elemental deviations. Do you use any custom brushes, or do you draw the lightning and use fulters to give it the glow effects? I know of some lightning brushes, but none that are THAT good for wrapping around hands and arcing through the air

Thank ya so much ^_^ For lightning I am using some brushes and then adding effects to them/breaking them apart and recreating them. I used to try to make lightning from scratch, but it just was never as good as brushes, and it takes way way too long, lol. Thanks again! ^^

Oh coolio. Where do you get these mystical brushes from XD? lowl. I have some, but they're very few and not quite... hmmn, customizable? Maybe we have the same actually, but I guess I'm just lazy when In try to make real looking lightning. I also like the water, wind, darkness, etc... effects. I really need to edit some more photos, I've been lazeh.

Just search DA and you'll find'em. As far as being customizable...none of them really are that much. That's what makes it hard

Well in this case I used brushes, cause it's easier, and it looks better than making them completely from scratch.

I just do it for fun too. The base lightnig was done with brushes with added effects to them.
