Yep, I'm pro-Fancharacters. I actually like them more than the real characters in certain fandoms. I just made this cuz when i was looking Storm Hawks I saw a lot of people bashing SH fan characters. I see this in all of my other fandoms too, and it pisses me off. Listen bashers,Our OCs aren't going to ruin your fandom unless you let them, . I respect people who create fan chars, because they're being creative enough to put their own spin on their fandom. Seriously, people, it's an art website.EDIT
ok, i've had some confusion when I talk about mary sues. I am just stating that i don't like how some bashers categorize ALL fan characters as mary sues without taking into consideration how much work went into the characters

A buzzword used by bad critics in order to make them feel intelligent, yet does nothing to actually help the author/creator.

Ah, yes. The labelling we put up with, and yet we never (or some of us) burn other peoples characters. Ours just had help being put into creation!
I just ended up looking for support of Fancharacter; seeing as alot of artists on here make them and try to get their own creativity flowing easyer.

Fan characters are mary sues, hun.
And people don't "make people with fanchars feel like crap". They point out their precious fanchar's "perfection", and they get all whiny about it, and sometimes they tell their friends that "___ is harassing me, make them stop!"
They ruin fandoms because they're unoriginal, and for some fandoms, they're pretty much just recolors (Like for Sonic the Hedgehog). It doesn't help if they're a "drama llama" or "lolcow" and start drama about everything.

I agree with you HoneyAppleNinja. Not every Fan charcter is perfect nor are they mary sues, i don't create mary sues and I like to put flaws on both my fan characters and original characters (for my own series) as well because everyone isn't perfect. Hell making characters for any series or a series for your own is suppose to be fun. Those who bash people for having fan characters and/or original characters for fun doesn't make them "cool" at all, it only makes them complete jackasses who have nothing better to do then to try putting people down.

first of all, the picture is very cute and I love the curly hair (I'm sure the actual image hasn't been commented on much?)
I would also like to say how much I agree, since the often the people who bash characters are the ones who are too impatient to read the artist comments! My OCs (fancharacter and not) are a part of how I enjoy series! We all put effort in to OCs!

Amen! I really like some fan characters. Sure there are some rather steriotypical characters sure, but they make people appreciate the more original characters all the more. Seriously though people, if you don't like peoples fan characters, don't look at the pics or read the stories. And PLEASE keep your comments to yourself. Thank-you!

but some ppl just makes too perfect,lil,supa kawaiiii ,everybody's favourite,supa dupa hot mary sues... and that sucks xD

I support you all the way. I know how it feels. When I first joined the website "Theokaku.com", my FMA character was totally flamed. I've put so much work into my OC and so have others. I also joined Neopets to roleplay and it's terrible there. It was worse than Theotaku. Every little thing I did was flamed. I and many of my friends were labled as "illiterates" because supposedly our writing was horrible.
It's just crazy how much people have a problem with fan characters. It really is.

I love you. It reminds me of a person labeling my Laika OC a Mary-sue and they did not even read her story line, yesh she's an Irken, but in the story she was born right after Zims genoration. It really pisses me off. ><

I support fan characters (i make somes of my own).
But I support good fan character (also i don't considere mine as good -_-U), sometimes the mary sue cliche make a fan fic or fan comic uninteresing. That's why I practice and accept constructive critics, is part of become a good fan artist ^^
