Lately I've been hearing a lot about DC having a reboot.
What bothers me most is that I get varying info on what exactly this means.
I've heard that it just means costume changes, I've heard it means that everything's starting over fresh starting from 10 years ago, I've heard that they're just taking everything in a new direction, I've heard it's going to be temporary, I've heard that they're starting over completely, I've heard it's going to be permanent...
So as you can imagine this has made me a little bit bummed out.
Mainly because it seems that DC is undoing a lot of great things they've been building up over the years, like Dick and Damian's partnership, and how awesome Babs has become even after being crippled and put in a wheelchair (not that people in wheelchairs aren't awesome).
The only thing that looks good that's coming out of this supposed reboot is where Jason's ending up.
But heaven knows where that could go.
I swear, american comics are the only comics I know that have backtracked on their own timelines.
If they're rebooting just to get new readers with new storylines (as I have also heard), it probably will just confuse new and old readers alike more than entice them.
And it seems that shows like YJ and stuff have gotten people to actually go to reading DC's stuff, like B & R.
A lot of the people I've seen that get into the YJ fandom quickly get into Damian and the whole Batman family afterwards (I feel special because I liked Damian before I got into YJ ).
BTW, does anyone know what's happening to Damian in this reboot? If he's made Dick's sidekick as Nightwing (which I highly doubt), then I won't mind everything else so much.
Though I'll still be sort've ticked if everything doesn't work out nicely.
Plus, how'm I gonna keep doign these New Addition comics if I have no material to parody?
Anyways, sorry for the rant. I just don't feel good about what's happening over at DC right now.
(Hey does anyone know if this is going to stop House of Hush and The Hist List from coming out anymore?)

Yeah, I'm pretty upset about it, too. I only started reading the comics because I heard Bruce had a son and he was teamed up with Dick, who I already knew of, and that it was a totally different dynamic. Now when I just got into it, they drop them. Sometimes I wonder if fate really does hate me. At least I still got the German Comics, whose translation is still crap by the way, until the Reboot reaches me. Sucks to be in America then, though

i love how your comic became the forum for everything related to the reboot lol. I can see them maybe having Dick go back to Nightwing (maybe in an effort to give Bruce a chance to be a father to Dami FINALLY), but Babs? As much as I love her (to me she IS batgirl, how the hell do you explain all that? WayneTech stemcell research?) And Jason and this new Batwing guy getting a book over Tim? WTF? They havent even mentioned what would happen to him!? That poor guy NEVER gets a break! Everyone dies on him, he loses the Robin mantle and now he loses everything! Hopefully they at least keep him on as Red Robin (and maybe even add him coming out for a sense of even more diversity lol. hell if Marvel can have a homosexual (male) superhero why cant DC?!? It's time they made him and kon official lol). Just sooo much about this reboot has me fuming!!!

I live in germany and until the reboot reaches us, it'll take months anyway. I already get spoilers all the time by looking stuff up on the dc wiki or here on DA. I just hope they let colin appear again.
I just hope they don't want to get close to the nolanverse movies. they're good and all, but i like batman how it is at the moment.

Have you seen the new Nightwing costume! No finger stripes and its not blue! I prefer the old costume soooo much more. The storyline for Nightwing looks real interesting though.
It's been confirmed Babs is going back to being Batgirl, Steph and Cass aren't mentioned. Nor is Tim.
Jason is in a team up with Starfire and Arsenal, he gets his own ongoing. Also there's a bat insignia on his new costume, so make of that what you will.
Bruce is the only Batman again, in every comic so things like bat inc are being revised but is still happening eventually and Damain is robin but with no mention of Dick in that story.

I know, I've been told all this over and over and over again (Tim has been confirmed as staying though, I think). I knew most of it in the first place as well.
What I don't know is what I listd, like if it's going to be permanent or temporary and all that crap.

I've seen the new Tim look, not sure what to make of it. This is a description for Teen Titans comic about Tim, where he appears on the front cover.
"Tim Drake is forced to step out from behind his keyboard when an international organization seeks to capture or kill super-powered teenagers. As Red Robin, he must team up with the mysterious and belligerent powerhouse thief known as Wonder Girl and a hyperactive speedster calling himself Kid Flash.β
What? Bart is also Kid flash on the cover, that's confirmed I think.

I wrote about my suspicions about this turn of events in my journal on here.
I mentioned could already be a set up for this separation in the books that many fans haven't picked up on, so this isn't such a shock to me. (Although really, really, really upsetting. 
If he discovers Bruce has been hiding something all these years about his parents' murder, Dick might well quit being Batman. The first clue is in that information, the next is what DC has said about the first issue of Vol 2 of Nightwing:
Via DC Universe, The Source: As Dick embraces his identity, Haleyβs Circus, the big top where he once performed with his family, returns to Gotham - bringing with it a history of murder, mystery and superhuman evil. Nightwing must confront friends and enemies from his past as he searches for the source of an even greater evil.
Ah ha, second clue. Hence the red, (I know, I know, we all miss the blue and only spandex ladies,) on his new costume, someone is out for revenge; and I think Bruce doesn't fire Dick, this time, against his better judgement in leaving Damian, he walks. Again, I don't think Dick wants to leave Damian, but something must make him lose it with Bruce, or force him to dis-guard the Batman costume.
Just a suspicion, but it's a tempting notion to brood over.

You have no problem saying anything because DC's being nice to you Jason! I mean yay for you (really, Jason's reboot thing sounds kinda cool. Just sad that Arsenal's still an anti-hero....), but nooooooo! Our dynamic duo!! 
I'm kinda upset about the reboot... I know we'll have to see what happens before judgments can be made, but DC doesn't have to do this just to get new readers... If they get interested enough they'll just research backstories and they'll continue on from there...
It's mainly hard for me to see Bruce and Damian working together... They're both kinda moody...
