Lately I've been hearing a lot about DC having a reboot.
What bothers me most is that I get varying info on what exactly this means.
I've heard that it just means costume changes, I've heard it means that everything's starting over fresh starting from 10 years ago, I've heard that they're just taking everything in a new direction, I've heard it's going to be temporary, I've heard that they're starting over completely, I've heard it's going to be permanent...
So as you can imagine this has made me a little bit bummed out.
Mainly because it seems that DC is undoing a lot of great things they've been building up over the years, like Dick and Damian's partnership, and how awesome Babs has become even after being crippled and put in a wheelchair (not that people in wheelchairs aren't awesome).
The only thing that looks good that's coming out of this supposed reboot is where Jason's ending up.
But heaven knows where that could go.
I swear, american comics are the only comics I know that have backtracked on their own timelines.
If they're rebooting just to get new readers with new storylines (as I have also heard), it probably will just confuse new and old readers alike more than entice them.
And it seems that shows like YJ and stuff have gotten people to actually go to reading DC's stuff, like B & R.
A lot of the people I've seen that get into the YJ fandom quickly get into Damian and the whole Batman family afterwards (I feel special because I liked Damian before I got into YJ ).
BTW, does anyone know what's happening to Damian in this reboot? If he's made Dick's sidekick as Nightwing (which I highly doubt), then I won't mind everything else so much.
Though I'll still be sort've ticked if everything doesn't work out nicely.
Plus, how'm I gonna keep doign these New Addition comics if I have no material to parody?
Anyways, sorry for the rant. I just don't feel good about what's happening over at DC right now.
(Hey does anyone know if this is going to stop House of Hush and The Hist List from coming out anymore?)

even though i read they are keeping the testube baby sadly (why try...)
its better to get this half-assed re-boot then continue with this off-course awful story telling, lines, character etc etc
the newest generation of fans who think they are the privileged ones ranting about the reboot you know how much the
industry suffered from talentless writers who want to erase iconic characters to replace them with their pet projects
it seem like a compromise and its too early for me to enjoy this since nothing is 100% yet

again i don't know all the details or what will happen but what i read is that they are going back in time 10 or so

well the last few years weren't very productive unless you count cheesy camp of writing as productivity
and so called dynamic due of D&D just shows how low a great title could sink
so yeah if DC going to say it never happened i can live with it, hell I'll embrace it even.

This was basically my reaction to the reboot too. I love Nightwing and all but I don't want them to break up Damian and Dick, plus I find the new Nightwing costume's lack of fingerstrips disturbing.
Also I love Damian's and Dick's crying expressions, they're adorable.

I trust the insider in DC...even if it gets my hopes up. Its not in the rumor section so I will cling to it for hope. Even if Tim doesn't get his own book and only appears, at least he exists.

I heard Damian will be Robin but be Bruce's partner. And it's not solid yet but I heard Tim, Steph and Cass won't even exist (not sure if it's true though)
There are TONS of rumors going around and frankly I am not happy with DC at this point. Sure some of the recent stuff has been a little.....weird (Jason's new costume for example) but come on what the crap do we need another reboot for?

Yeah okay my friend gave me a link to DC's blog that Tim will exist. My bad. Some one earlier said he wouldn't. But I want Steph darn it I demand Steph. Plus I've heard they wanted to make Damian Bruce and Selina's kid rather then have Talia be the mother (Brave and the Bold anyone?) but this could also be a rumor The crap it better be Selina has her baby Helena
I could kinda understand their first reboot. They wanted to go back to the origin changing thing. Like with Superman they wanted to once more make him the ONLY Kryptonian dude and at that time there were aobut ten million things from Krypton. But now this reboot is stupid and isn't needed.

The only thing that will make sense is his love for cats! Everything else will make no sense! NO SENSE! I think DC likes to do the things we DON'T want.
Yeah I think their reason was to bring in the new fans. Lame. It is not that hard to catch up. I only got back into the DC fandom last October and I was able to catch up quickly. It seriously isn't that hard but apparntly DC thinks it is.
