I can't believe how a simple pattern can change almost everything. That's awesome!

I agree. I made this in grey and I was not very exciting, here's the grey one [link] and then when I put several layers of blue with noise and scratches and brushed metal effects under it, it turned into something I could use. The base pattern is really basic, a sort of fish scale I have been playing with. Here's a blow up of the base pattern [link]
