Description

Skyscraper looked around for the source of the voice. Her eyes grew wide as she saw a blue-clad figure become visible, hovering in the air a dozen meters away from her. The figure was a female wearing some sort of blue hooded cloak and armor. The giantess clenched her fists and took a step forward. "Who are you supposed to be?" Skyscraper asked while shaking her singed hand.

Claire knew casting the HEAT METAL spell would disrupt her INVISIBILITY spell. She was counting on her sudden appearance to intimidate the giant-sized thief but it seemed Skyscraper was less impressed than hoped for. "Technomancer, at your service," Claire answered as she took a bow. "Seems Yoyodyne Industries has been having a bit of a shoplifting problem. They hired me to find out who is responsible and see they get turned over to the authorities. Don't suppose you want to come along quietly?"

Skyscraper snorted derisively. "I don't have time for this. I have research to finish. Fly away now. I'd hate to have to swat you like a gnat," Robin stated as she began to turn back to the truck she had dropped.

"Hey Miss High-pockets! Don't turn your back on me when I am arresting you!" shouted Technomancer. "Fine, have it your way." Pointing towards the towering villainess she commanded her suit's computer to cast another spell. Information flashed across the suit's holographic heads-up-display or HUD.

MAGIC MISSILE Active

As the suit's computer activated the selected spell, a series of glowing darts of energy shot from her extended finger. in the blink of an eye they flew through the air towards Skyscraper. The giantess jerked her head back in an attempt to dodge the arcane missiles but they flew unerringly towards their target to slam into the side of her face and head.

"You bitch, that stung!" she screamed as it felt like someone had struck her in the side of the head repeatedly with a cattle prod.

"Be careful Claire. News footage indicated Skyscraper has at least Beta level strength when she is at full size. It's not likely the suit's armor can withstand too many direct hits from her," Sam warned his wife over the suit's comm link. "Our security teams are holding at the perimeter, ready to move in whenever you want."

"Now High Pockets, you want to reconsider coming along quietly or do you want to feel some real pain?" Technomancer asked as she hovered in front of Skyscraper.

"The name is Skyscraper. And I have reconsidered. I don't think I am going to hate swatting you after all. Actually I think I am going to enjoy it," the giant woman said as she struck out at her hovering adversary.

Technomancer darted to her right to avoid Skyscraper's attack. The FLY spell gave her enough speed to dodge the blow, even if Claire had to struggle for control as she was buffeted by the wind generated by Skyscraper's wild swing. "That's enough of that," Claire thought to herself. "Time to take her down to size."

Finally the two stars of the comic finally meet face to face for the first time. This has been brewing for some time since Skyscraper started stealing Yoyodyne technology for a few months now. Things will be heating up, more than the truck with the Heat Metal spell cast on it.
