Description
So they tried to get out...but only made it to the beach----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fishing trawlers washed ashore in stormy seas 2 weeks ago.
Unluckily there weren't any clouds so I had to make do with the clear skies.
This is Melkbosstrand, South Africa and you can see Table Mountain and Cape Town in on the Horizon

It is so refreshing to see someone use motion in their prints. The foreshortening is exquisite, and again it is so good to see someone using the capabilities of the medium to its fullest.

lovely shot
all that effect on the wash from only 1/3 second shutter speed?

im a sucker for waterscapes.
love water, sailing swimming anything tbh
been sailing most of my long long (17 years ) life
I thought that the min speed of 4 seconds on my camera was not enough because ive never really played with it before but apparently it is

Is the water in this photo moving toward you or away from you? Would I be able to tell the difference if you took one of each? Fantastic photo. I love your work.

If I could favourite this more than once, I would.
Great choice of shutter speed, and I think clouds would make the photo look too cluttered.
Is South Africa really as beautiful as your photos make it seem? I'm considering travelling there when I leave school.

A good photographer can make an ordinary scene seem amazing. South Africa is beautiful. But I've never been overseas so i can't compare it with anything.

Ever so often i get the honor of viewing monumental images. This image is monumental for so many technical reasons. I fear this is a lesson on not seeing how to compose an image, but having the smarts to photograph it armed with a lifetime of knowledge on how to expose it. I think the small aperture gives perfect depth, and the slow shutter really creates the drama with all of the water motion blur... this is outstanding.
