I love roberto ferri! so subtly surreal, interesting compositions, interesting relationships between the figures, very illustrative, and wow great job on this painting! what brushes do you use?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

HoustonSharp In reply to KimHeiseArt [2012-07-21 21:14:09 +0000 UTC]

i have this interesting brush i got from Whit Brachna. It has interesting edges, so when you paint with it it kind of looks like a natural bristle brush. I used that and the occasional soft round brush for this painting.

KimHeiseArt In reply to HoustonSharp [2012-07-21 21:21:59 +0000 UTC]

do you know if there's a place I can download it?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

HoustonSharp In reply to KimHeiseArt [2012-07-21 21:29:53 +0000 UTC]

i bought his video workshop when i was in high school, and the brushes came with it when I bought it. So i think you'd have to do the same. Unless Whit has put them up somewhere. Try searching for him on Conceptart.org

I have yet to do a master study. I mostly study photos and life. I think I'm terrified of trying it. This came out awesome

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

HoustonSharp In reply to ZhouRules [2012-07-21 18:56:36 +0000 UTC]

Go for it dude. I honestly think doing master studies are way more fun than drawing from life or photos. Just don't be worried about what your end product will look like, and you'll have fun with it.
