Oh, this is so exciting! This is my half of an art trade with the beautiful and talented LizRd - it's her character, Kaylen Trisan. I decided to do a detailed backgroundy-thingy because she deserves only the best... I worship her...

Anyhow, I chose braids for the border because of the significance of the braids in front of her ears - they're part of her culture. (well, that and because her legs kept coming out wrong, so I finally said, screw it, I'm just going to leave them off - but since the pic looked unfinished that way, I added the border.)

EDIT 19 April 05: I replaced the original pencilled version with an inked version that isn't much better but was the springboard for this: [link] so I figured I should put it in for accuracy's sake (as if anyone really cares...)
